I have no idea where to even start on the encrypted ones. If the pic is the clue to the first book then I know that and it's a book and author I really don't like. So.., no idea how to start them.
Mary, I usually start with simple letters like "a" and "I" and then on to "at" "on" "it"... on to "the"...
I'm sure other people have a better method. I'm very slow.

For Team Mauvelous --- we like jigsaws, but this was a bit cruel!

Me too ---- but I also look for capitalized words that could be names, especially if the clue gives you a good guess. Sometimes that gives a very good clue and then the rest should fall into place.
And e is the most common letter used in English, so I usually look for a letter that is used more often than all the others and there is a good chance it is an 'e'. It's not foolproof, but it sometimes works. Like the others have said, I usually start with the short words and work my way up. 'The' is usually the first word I look for.
And words with two repeats next to each other is a clue. Something like 'qlle' probably has a double o.
I love encryptions :).
Yes, and I learned another hint tonight. If you figure out "I" - then look for words ending in "ing" - and that helps a lot, too.
I never even thought of that. That would be a good hint to remember in the future :).

I've emailed puzzles #128 through #140 for Bdazzled Blue. I find it difficult to post pics so with #139, I just took a screen shot and emailed it.

I would prefer you post them in new comment next time. I'm keeping track to which post spreadsheet is updated so I might not notice your updated post. I do check posts from time to time if I missed anything, but not that often.
Anyway, this posts about mail sent are mostly for you teammates since they can't know otherwise if somebody solved puzzle or not. ☺
