I like Billingham. I have at least two of his books on my tbr shelf.Sorry he didn't seem to appeal to you!
Susan, it wasn't so much that hon. Here is my opinion on the book:I found it was ok, but this is the 1st time I have read a book by him. It might be cos I thought it was 1 person and it turned out to be someone else. Its was a great thriller and mystery in that part, but I think I was hoping for more to the ending.
His books can be slow but usually are worth the read.You're right.
Looking forward to reading his others that I have.

I also like Billingham, I've read Buried and Sleepy Head and I liked them both.I just finished reading a Swedish book: Echoes from the Dead by Johan Theorin. So it's my nr 6 book from the TBR-shelf.
I'm currently reading Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens and Young Stalin by Simon Sebag Montefiore (I'm going to write an essay in History this autumn and it is most likely to be about Stalin or Lenin so I'm preparing myself by reading a lot of history books about Russia).
Robert Massie has some really good books on Russia but their about Peter the Great and Tsar Nicolas. His books might cover too early history of Russia.I'm waiting for Russka by Rutherfurd from paperback swap. It should be here any day now.
Are you in college/taking college courses?
I'm studying to become a teacher in English and History. Thanks for the book suggestion, I'm going to check if the library has them.
I have a degree in elementary education. Good Luck with your pursuits!I saw that you are reading a Patricia Cornwell novel. The first two thirds of the series is really good but then she slacks off. I have her two latest on my tbr shelf (which is an actual shelf)

I gave them both 3 stars. They were good but could have been better. They're both new authors for me.I have a couple other of their books. Hopefully they get better.

I'm still reading Oliver Twist and Young Stalin. I'm planning to finish reading them this week but my summer job takes up almost all of my time :(
That definitely cuts into reading time. I got myself engaged in that darn twilight series. Of course, I'm now slightly hooked. I don't even like vampire books but Stephanie Meyers has drawn me in. " I would like to suck your blood" I joined their thread here for a few days and it became obvious I was way too old to belong. Mostly tweens and teens on there, I'm 37.
What's your summer job up there,if you want to share?
I understand either way. I only give out so much info on myself.

I have also read the Twilight series and I liked them and thought that they were OK. Have you read Charlaine Harris' vampire crime novels? They are slighlty better I think. I've only read the first one so far "Dead Until Dark". I'm working at a senior home and I'm going to work there the whole summer, until August 16th.
Tomorrow I have the day off so I'm planning to get ahead with Oliver Twist and Young Stalin. I've began reading "The Last Juror" by John Grisham, I have a feeling that I'm going to finish that book first of all...
