Hi Michael and Everybody,Well, I certainly don't want to personally tackle that: There are a lot of solved threads, a lot of members have been in and out of this group over the years so I'm not sure how informative the stats would be.
I know I've solved several and found several too.
So, if anyone/a few of you who are willing to work together have interest in this
task, I'm happy to make a folder for it and update the lists as others keep the tally. It might be interesting to have two posts: one for members who have found books for others and also a list showing members who have requested and found long lost books by help from other members.
Are others interested in this? Any volunteers?
If so, please post here and I'll start a folder with a closed thread for each category (which I'll keep updated) and an open thread for each category (which volunteers can give the information as they do the count.)

Okay, so I started in the solved folders first, and did the first two pages of Children's/YA folder first. Here are some of the leaders right now:Jackie *Librarian*: 8
April Ann: 5
Michelle: 3
Marilyn, Animal lover forever(Katelyn), Random: 2
Everyone else so far hasn't done any that I've seen or only has one.
I also didn't count the people who solved it themselves. If you want me to, go ahead and say.
Waterfall, There should be many pages of solved in every solved folder. This group is very old. There are many more solvers than that. See the problem with trying to do this task?!Edit: If you click on view all in the Childrens/YA solved folder, there are fifteen (long) pages of found books.

Just wanted to make sure you knew how big a job this is. ;-) Thanks very much for working on it and posting progress, the latter important in case anyone else wants to work on it.Of course, as more threads go to that folder, the page numbers threads are on will constantly change, which makes it a bit more challenging for 2 or more people to work on this.
Yeah.. It's not going to be easy. Plus, people change their names and I might get them mixed up... But oh well. I'll work it all out.

There are some deleted members as well, but I guess they can all be counted as one person.
Good idea. So far I haven't encountered any deleted solvers-at least none deleted from goodreads, but I don't know how to tell if they're deleted from the group. But I guess they still count as individuals.
Yes, if their name is there, they count. If it actually says deleted member then there's no way to tell who they are.
That's true. I'll just add them all as one person then.
Waterfall, Before you (or anyone) does too much work, I was thinking date of solving (or original post!) would be more helpful than page numbers. Page numbers will keep changing. Original post date will remain the same. Just a thought.

I'm nowhere near the top (I think I can claim about 2 1/2) and for the vast majority of requests I don't even have enough of a clue to bother guessing, so this is really more about curiosity and sponsoring a little more friendly competition (among a group that's clearly not competitive enough) than about my own ego :-)
