Joe Pfeiler | 7 comments For ebooks, do you, as a reader prefer the TOC at the front or back of the book?

The person who did mine recommended the back, which allows a larger reading sample on Amazon. But I'm hearing otherwise from readers...

Helen I rarely use them but if I wanted to look at one of prefer the front. I wouldn't realise it was at the back until I got there.

I agree with Helen! Since I read on the Kindle app on my iPad (not sure if that makes a difference), when I look at the "Menu" for TOC, many times when its in the back it is like there is none (no link to get to it), that is when I find it at the end!

Betsy Doesn't matter to me.

Syahira front AND back. the later are useful after you're finished with the book.

Jen (jenlb) | 50 comments I usually access the TOC through the menu, so it wouldn't matter much to me. Just make sure that it's properly formatted- for some reason I seem to end up with a large number of books that are formatted correctly for reading, with TOCs that I struggle to make heads or tails of.
