Top 10 films of 09"

Good list except for Last House on The Left! That movie was crap, even if Aaron Paul is awesome on Breaking Bad

I did this yesterday, too. I laughed out loud while reading the one about snacking--too funny!

Nilofer (nilofers) | 84 comments Thanks Angie, the article was great reading. He's right, its the movies that were nominated that counts (although I love seeing what everyone wore, that's the best part of the Oscars for me!)

Lori (barfield) I totally agree with Uncle Stevie on this. I think all
award shows are rigged.

Dana * (queenofegypt) | 41 comments Entertainment Weekly shares six picks for summer reads from author Stephen King. Here is the list:

The Millennium Trilogy by Stieg Larsson
The Passage by Justin Cronin

Caught up with both these articles - the BP one was a hoot - calmly showing up the ridiculous response of BP to the crisis, and Bruce Willis as the go-to-guy for fixing the problems of the world was a great call.

Gayan | 7 comments I know. That's the whole reason I subscribed to EW in the first place.

message 66: by Miriam (new)

Miriam (chkntza) Me too. I guess I'll keep my subscription just in case he guest writes an article but I sure will miss him.

I can't find an actual link to the Entertainment Weekly articles that King wrote in the latest issue http://popwatch.ew.com/2013/12/18/thi.... I am going to go ahead and list out what he picked for everyone but if you want to know what he had to say about each pick then.. well I guess you need to pick up the issue.

Best movies he listed:

10 Parker
9 The Other Son
8 White House Down
7 Mama
6 Prisoners
5 The Impossible
4 Blue Jasmine
3 Mud
2 West of Memphis
1 Gravity

Best TV of 2013
10 The Killing
9 Damages
8 The Bletchley Circle
7 House of Cards
6 The Returned
5 The Blacklist
4 The Americans
3 Broadchurch
2 Sons of Anarchy
1 Breaking Bad

The Best Books of 2013
10 The Good Nurse
9 The Shining Girls
8 The Wicked Girls
7 The Casual Vacancy
6 City of Women
5 The Thousands Autumns of Jacob de Zoet
4 The Goldfinch
3 Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies
2 The Interestings
1 The Orphan Master's Son

Usually EW links up Stephen Kings picks and articles for things but this time I just can't find anything online. But I wanted to list them out for everyone. I plan on watching all the movies he listed!
