Vanessa Delamare I'm pleased to be with you! I'm reading a lot of crime fiction, mysteries and thrillers and I kind of love it with a bit of paranormal!
I've got a lot of authors I like to read but Maxime Chattam (a French one)or Jo Nesbø are among my favorites. There's also Chris F. Holm (a great mix between pulp and fantasy) I think I'll find new authors to like with this group.

Welcome to the group, Vanessa. I hope you find new mystery authors here. You will get many recommendations.

message 8: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa Delamare Thanks everyone! Carolyn: I also like fantasy (thus Chris F. Holm!) but I really like George R. R. Martin or Guy Gavriel Kay. I sometimes read classics but they're not my preference and you ?

You might like Roger Zelazny's Chronicles of Amber. It's an excellent Fantasy series.

Vanessa Delamare Thanks Bill, I'll give it a try!

message 12: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa Delamare Thanks Jeweliej, it does look like it :)

message 13: by Carolyn (new)

Carolyn | 11 comments Hey Venessa - if you like fantasy - try Robin Hobb or Robert Jordan. I am reading a bit of Sharon Penman - historical fiction at the moment. A bit heavy for some, if you are not used to it . I looked at some of your books - you might also enjoy some of S J Bolton or Sarah Rayne, check them out ok.

Vanessa Delamare thanks Carolyn for your suggestion ! That seems great !
I already check of Robin Hobb's books, they're on my wish list :)

Vanessa you will have no problem finding new authors here. I have such a long "to read" list that I am confused! You will love this active group!

message 16: by Vanessa (new)

Vanessa Delamare Thanks Jeweliej!

message 17: by Scott (new)

Scott Ivlow (scottinwinterhaven) | 208 comments Hi Vanessa. You might find new authors to like however beware most mentioned here will be well known. I'm about the only one from this group that tries hard to read debut authors or not very well known or have written less than 3 books from the last few years. As far as paranormal fiction try reading Kat Richardson.

message 22: by Marjorie (new)

Marjorie | 13 comments Hi everybody,

I'm new to the group and thought I'd stop by and introduce myself. Besides, I'm looking for a little moral support right now. I've just had to cancel a well-planned KDP giveaway promotion. Somehow, Shadow Tag was listed as free instead of Dear Crossing. I'm having a bit of a "pity party", and you're all welcome to come. Actually, I'm very resilient, so the party shouldn't last long.

Thanks for listening; I'm feeling better already. Talk to you later.
