message 67: by Aiman (new)

Aiman So, I started wearing glasses at the beginning of least year. It was still being fixed @ the optometrist and I was at this hotel lounge with my cousin and The grudge was on TV. The TV was like 15 meters away an we were 'watching' it; well, to me it was kinda blurry but my cousin kept screaming. Unable to make sense of it, I just stared uncomprehendingly at the screen while my cousin literally cowered and hid behind me. Anyways, she now thinks I'm some kind of badass, brave person- mwahahaha, because she didn't know at the time that I needed glasses.

I felt so special because they're staring at me with huge eyes going, "Makayla, you're magic!" and asking me to do it again. I thought to myself, damn right, I'm a wizard.

Amy Thomson Problem is I'm older than all of you I think, I'm 17. And my problem is all my friends are having sex. Whereas I cringe away from the boy I've liked for about 7 years (we meet every year at a camp I go to).
God, it sounds so lame.

actually, you're not that much older than us, Rose and I are around the same age....

But i think you liking the guy at the camp: well that part sounded sweet. Really, if you've actually like him for 7 years, i think its time to say its pretty serious. Gosh i can see the makings of a rom-com based on ur story in my head hahaha.

Ummm please dont take any offence, but do ur friends really think its ok to have sex at this age??? I mean, well i dont know about you, but I come from a conservative culture, so sex is like a big thing.

But ill tell you this, just because some your friends are havin sex, doesnt mean that you should too.

message 82: by Amy (new)

Amy Thomson Thanks Sasha:) Well the thing is with this guys is he's a year younger (slight cringe but - it sounds cheesy - at camp age is forgotten, ir ranges from 13 to 18 in my friendship group) and I pretended to flirt with him one year as a dare - i was like 10 so yeah:L and then we kind of realised we got on really well and then from then on we always have a 'thing' at damp. Like sitting on each others laps, him pushing hair from my face (aw!) and like 'comparing hand sizes' but just ending up holding hands:')
And yeah my friends don't mind having sex at this age, they don't see it as a big deal. They aren't Christians or anything and don't even have boyfriends if you get what I mean.
I know that, and I never thought it'd feel like a big deal but I'm such a boring person to them, like i'm a bookworm and a writer, I love to sit at home and watch a film. And I love drinking or whatever too - i mean i am a teenager at college - but i think they already see me as boring and i don't want to seem even more frigid if that makes sense?
THANK YOU FOR LISTENING!

hhahah its ok. You mean THANKYOU FOR READING!

anywya yes this thing with the camp guy sounds relly romantic. Dont jump into anything too quickly. But wait! Is there a chance of you seeing him when you are not at camp? Do have him phone number or anything so you can stay in touch?

Oh wow, you're in college at 17! Or are you 17, but turning 18 later this year? Anwyaz i havent graduated from high school yet, but im going to soon!

but judging by your desription of urself, (im not just saying this) youe really dont seem like a boring person. Maybe there are other peopl who you can relate to and dont ind you boring.... You can expand your friends circle a litle if you want.
But then again, maybe thats because i can relate to you. Im a bookworm too! (and i occasionally fan-girl about guys in the books)

My friends dont think im boring... BUT they think I am INCREDIBLY annoying BUT funny and awesome at the same time.
Just ask Rose how annoying i can be hahaha

message 84: by Amy (new)

Amy Thomson Yes, thank you for reading ahaha! I'm the 'listener/reader' in my friendship group and so never get to get all the rambling out of my system, my friends are a winsy bit selfish like that - but i love them! And college.. so that's senior at high school i think? (i don't know:L) I turn 18 on July 4th next year.
Yeah, I mean i think i'm half imagining it sometime. He's a 'popular' boy so i know that he gets the girls and i'm pretty certain he isnt a virgin which just makes it ten times more scary. We stay in touch and text all the time, yeah. He lives a few hours away from me but we're seeing each other at halloween:)
Haha, isn't that always the case with friends? Annoying buy awesome! ahaha:)

message 92: by Bekah (new)

Bekah I hate talking about it but I have a crush on a guy I have no chance with. He graduates next year and he probably just sees me as a little kid. Not that the world will end because one guy doesn't like me...

But yah I also have three essays due *Yells insanely* My school is a private school so it's hard!

message 93: by Madeline (new)

Madeline (madelinepaigehowlett) Well if you say you have no chance with him (not that I believe you but..) Just go talk to him. Than at least he knows you exsist and if he blows you off, no harm done, as he will probably re-forget your exsistance. A good way to start a conversation (It works for me as I am a TOTAL klutz) is hold all of your textbooks as you walk down the hall and 'accidentally' run in to him and drop all of your books when you fall down. Then you talk to him as he helps you get up and pick up your books. :)

message 94: by Madeline (new)

Madeline (madelinepaigehowlett) P.S. what grade are you in?

message 95: by Bekah (new)

Bekah Erm...eighth...*facepalms*

message 96: by Madeline (new)

Madeline (madelinepaigehowlett) Oh beck...
okay here's an idea:
Crush on someone your own grade or maybe one or two above it. THEN try the 'oops-i-totally-didn't-mean-to-chuck-my-books-at-you' technique.

message 97: by Bekah (new)

Bekah Haha

message 98: by Madeline (new)

Madeline (madelinepaigehowlett) I can't tell if that was a sarcastic Haha or not.

message 99: by Madeline (new)

Madeline (madelinepaigehowlett) You wanna hear about my crush? It'd probably make you feel better about yours as mine is hopelessly pathetic.

message 100: by Bekah (new)

Bekah No it wasn't sarcastic but I do love sarcasm...
