Well I'm just starting chapter six. I like the story, but the writing is a bit stiff in my opinion. Hoping the author relaxes and it starts cruising.

I'm loving the story tho! I can't really make any predictions as to where this is going, but I'm not that observant most times!

Kaitlyn (view spoiler)[ Is obviously still more human than then intend. I keep thinking this reminds me of the old 70's TV show the Six Million Dollar Man (and later woman). I'm thinking maybe she decides to refuse what they have in store for her... (hide spoiler)]

Lucas (view spoiler)[ Boy genius starting to regret his role in what has happened to Kaitlyn. Starting to plot escape routes for her? Interesting. (hide spoiler)]

Quess (view spoiler)[ I already love her. I'm so glad that Kaitlyn has a friend to help her deal with what is happening to her! Pretty sure she has parental issues and may be a bit of a "bad girl" at least attitude wise, away from the compound, lol. (hide spoiler)]

Lucas (view spoiler)[ is really just an inexperienced kid isn't he? Not sure how he progressed from walking in her room and asking her if she had feelings - in front of a camera - to kissing her on their walk. LOL. I feel like something is missing from the story. (hide spoiler)]

Quess (view spoiler)[ I loved how she described crying! and i jsut really like her. I think she'll help Kaitlyn escape - i think that's where this is going. (hide spoiler)]

Kaitlyn (view spoiler)[ Gosh this must be so confusing for her. I'm really not sure where her character is heading. I mean, Lucas is "in love" with her, so we know his motivation, Quess is her only friend, so we know her motivation, but what is kaitlyn's purpose? Her motivation? I'm just not sure yet... This story has such great potential but I feel like there are big holes that are leaving me wondering what I'm missing.

Harrington (view spoiler)[ not sure about him. He's wacked out obviously, to create a being like this in the first place. But to just let her go over to the government? Wish we had a chapter from his POV so i could know his motivation for that decision. (hide spoiler)]

Kobo won't let me buy it. I keep getting an error. I am getting frustrated and am about to give up on this one since I have so many other books to read. I will try a few more times to buy the book but won't be too disappointed if I end up being unable to read it.

Well, it kind of gets explained at the very end... but if you read any of my spoilers you'll know I thought there were a TON of holes in this one!

and then for her to go to florida

Yeah, I agree with all of that. The only redeeming feature i found of the trip to florida was that she got closure from Ethan/Evan, lol, and was able to focus on Lucas.

But none of it really made sense... and it just tied up a bit TOO neatly.

Anyway, as I said, I'll give book 2 a chance, because sometimes book 1 can just suck, lol (Grey wolves, lol) but if it doesn't improve then I'll be done!
