89. The Vandemark Mummy by Cynthia Voigt. This is written for the 9-12 year old age group. It was very good and worth the read. I like to read a book before I donate it to the schools for their library.
90. Just Take My Heart by Mary Higgins Clark. I have been reading Clark's books for years and usually enjoy them. This one had just enough going on for me to keep turning the pages but don't think it is as good as some of her other books.

I was looking to read at least 100 books this year. At the rate I am going I think that I may just be able to reach this goal. I have several books that I have tried to read but just could not get into them so even though I may have only read 100 books I will be taking several more off of my shelf. Now I just have to keep from buying more books to put in the gaps that are showing up on my shelf.
89. The Vandermark Mummy by Cynthia Voigt. This is a Young Adult book but very good. Got a bit of an Egyption history lesson along the way but still a good read.
90. Just Take My Heart by Mary Higgins Clark. Very good book...liked the way it ended. I have read several of her books and have liked all of them.
91. Delilah Dolittle and the Missing Macaw by Patricia Guiver. This was a really quick read...I figured out who did it long before the middle of the book but kept reading just to see if I was right.
92. The Clue of the Black Keys by Carolyn Keene. This is a Nancy Drew book. I grew up reading Nancy Drew and have always liked them...now I am rereading them as I go along...there have been so many of them written since I was a kid.
93. The Ghost and the Femme Fatale by Alice Kimberly. This is a great series of books. Really keeps you turning the pages. I love the way the ghost helps Pen figure out who did the killing.
94. The Ghost and the Haunted Mansion by Alice Kimberly. Book 5 of the Haunted Bookstore series. Didn't see as much of Jack in this one but it is still a good book.
95. Trial by Fire by D. W. Buffa. I just started this book so am not sure if I will like it or not. I am told that the author use to be the D.A. in my county for a long time. Now to see if he is any kind of a writter???

96. The Magician by Michael Scott. The Secrets of Nicholas Flamel, Book 2Very good book...well written...enjoyed getting to know the main characters more and some of their history. Kept me reading late into the night.

90. Just Take My Heart by Mary Higgins Clark. Wasn't sure when I read the title if this was going to be a romance novel or a mystery. Turned out to be a very well written mystery...very good book with some surprising twists and turns.
91. Delilah and the Missing Macaw by Patricia Guiver. Pet Detective Series. Okay book but I figured out who the bad guy was in the first quarter of the book. Slow in spots...left me wanting in others. Don't think that I will be reading the rest of this series.
92. The Clue of the Black Keys by Carolyn Keene. Nancy Drew, Book 28. I starting reading mysteries because of Nancy Drew so couldn't resist reading this one when it was given to me. There have been so many new ones written since I was a kid that I have never read and this was one of them. Only problem I had was I kept wanting Nancy to take out her cell phone to make a call for help but she doesn't have one in the era of this book.
93. The Ghost and the Famme Fatale by Alice Kimberly. The Haunted Bookshop, Book 4. Didn't see as much of Jack in this one but still a very good mystery.
94. The Ghost and the Haunted Mansion by Alice Kimberly. The Haunted Bookshop, Book 5. Another good addition to this series. Can hardly wait for the next one to come out...
95. Trial by Fire by D. W. Buffa. I was told that Buffa use to be a District Attorney for my county so was expecting a better book then this one was.
96. The Magician by Michael Scott. The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, Book 2. This is a young adult book but still has enough happening to interest even the adult in me. Action kept coming faster then I could take it all in. Found myself reading way late at night and then not being able to get up the next morning. Always wanting to know what was going to happen next. Books have got to be read in order so you will know what is happening in this book.
97. Murder by Manicure. Bad Hair Day series. This is a cozy mystery. Was able to figure out who the bad guy was fairly early in the book but kept on reading to make sure I had it right.
98. Faithless by Karin Slaughter. Grant County series, Book 5. Very good…kept me turning the pages faster then I thought I was. Kept my interest and was for sure the best one so far of the series.
