For as long as the human race has roamed the Earth, there has been something lurking right beneath their feet. A creature born of death, in which holds no trace of regret towards the lives it takes away. A monster in which only regards the humans as a prey to be hunted. For hundreds of years, they have been kept a secret from the public. Few people hold the knowledge of their existence. Yet, they these beasts could not remain in the darkness forever, as every ten years they were forced into the upper-lands so they could hunt. They caused destruction and chaos in their path. It was then that our government stepped forward. Little is known at this point, but our government somehow convinced these deadly being into a compromise. Because the creatures feared they would burn at the touch of the sun, and because the government feared the loss of their public, a deal was established. The deal was this: Every ten years, at the time when they must be fed, thirty-nine would be selected. Not quite grown, nor children, but teenagers. Thirty-nine teenagers would unknowingly be brought underground, trapped underground, to be presented as live prey for these beings.


As time went on, the government could find less people to serve as sacrifices. It was at this time they built a school, a large tan building that sits lonesome over the desert floor. They declared this building Marshville High, the most honored school to be invited to. And so, every ten years thirty-nine teenagers are selected, given the opportunity of a lifetime. Because they know that at the end of the year two people will remain, two people who will live in fame and fortune. But it is what they don't know that might end their lives. No one ever bothers to find out what happens to the other thirty-seven students.


And why is it that always two remain? Simple really, the creatures do it as a reminder. A reminder of what they are capital of, a reminder that they still really exhist. And what are these creatures? There are many names for them. But you might know them by their most common title....Vampires
