Fall Challenge 2013: Questions/Problems in Completed Tasks

Task 10.2 requires that you indicate both the country where the book is set and the country in which you live. Please repost this task with the required information.

Task 20.8 is a one book task. Please repost this task with whichever book you'd like to use for 20.8. You may use the other book for a different task.
Also, you already posted (and were awarded points for) task 25.2 in message 1464. Please adjust your total accordingly.

Task 25.8, option 4 requires that the genre "Historical Romance" or "Chick Lit" appear on the book's main page. Pardonable Lies has neither of these genres on its main page. If you got preapproval for one of these genres in the genre verification thread or the task help thread, please repost this task indicating preapproval.

Given the information given and the fact that you've already claimed task 15.4, I assume the first task in this post should actually be 5.5. If this is correct, you don't need to do anything (that's how I have the points recorded). However, if you meant to claim a different task please repost and let me know which task you meant.

Task 30.1, option 4 requires that the genre Humor appear on the book's main page. Humor does not appear on the main page for Dash & Lily's Book of Dares. If you got preapproval for this book in the genre verification thread or the task help thread, please repost this task indicating preapproval.

Task 20.4 is a one book task (all 20-pointers are one-book tasks). Please repost this task with whichever book you'd like to use for 20.4. You may use the other book for a different task.

Task 30.4 requires that each book be at least 300 pages. The edition of Bridget Jones's Diary you've linked to has less than 300 pages. If you actually read a different edition of the book, please repost this task with a link to the correct edition.

Task 5.7 - Only variations of the words listed in the task work. Therefore, variations of the word "season" would work, but the individual names of seasons (spring, summer, Christmas, etc) will not.

Right, I keep forgetting. Thanks!

Thank you for your patience..

You've already claimed task 5.1 in post 768.
Task 25.2 - All tasks posted for verification must contain links to the books read. Please repost this task with the required links.
Also, when posting several tasks at one time, please place them in numerical order from smallest to largest. This makes record keeping much easier.

Task 5.2 - All tasks posted for verification must contain links to the books read. Please repost this task with the required links.

Task 25.8, option 4 requires that the genre "Historical Romance" or "Chick Lit" appear on the book's main page. Surrender Your Love has neither of these genres on its main page. If you got preapproval for one of these genres in the genre verification thread or the task help thread, please repost this task indicating preapproval.

Task 20.6 - I don't see it mentioned anywhere in the description of Article 5 that the book is set in NY, so I assume you were going for the skyline. A book very similar to

Task 15.4, option B requires a word of at least 3 letters to be found intact within another word in the title, subtitle, or series name. I don't see a "start" to go along with the "started" in Started Early, Took My Dog.

Task 20.10 - All tasks posted for verification must contain links to the books read. Please repost this task with the required links.
Task 50.1 requires you to specifically state in your post that none of your books are re-reads. Please repost this task with the required information.
No need to repost the other task in this post. It has been recorded.

River Secrets has the genre "Childrens" on its main page and is less than 300 pages.
Books with the genre "childrens" or "kids" that are between 100 and 299 pages may only be used for 5, 10, and 15 point tasks. Books with the genre “childrens” or "kids" on their main page may ONLY be used for tasks above 15 points IF they are at least 300 pages long or the task description specifically notes their inclusion.
If you got preapproval for this book in the genre verification thread or the task help thread, please repost this task indicating preapproval.

Task 20.6 requires that you state in your post that the author is new to you.
Task 50.1 requires that you specifically state in your post that none of your books are re-reads.
Please repost these tasks with the required information. No need to repost the other tasks in this post. They have been recorded.

Well this is annoying and the second time it has happened...When I posted yesterday "Contemporary/Chick Lit" was the second genre listed so I figured I would be good...guess not - I will learn eventually and I can always figure out a different book.

Yep. There now. Please repost with a note that it was verified in this thread so that I can pick up the points. To be safe it might not be a bad idea in the future to post books for genre-related tasks in the Genre Verification help thread as soon as you see the genre. This will help avoid the reposting process.

Task 30.5, option C requires that you provide a link to the EXACT post where the book is mentioned in the SRC's Least Favorite or Worst Books threads. (This link is the time/date stamp in the upper right corner of the post.) Please repost this task with the required information.

Your total is still incorrect. Please see posts 188, 279, and 308 in this thread.

I was able to pick up 20.10 in this post, but now your task 50.1 doesn't have links to the books. All posts for verification (including reposts) must include links to the book you read. Please repost this task including links.

I'll repost.

You must specifically state that you are claiming a Goodreads Author ticket for each book/author that qualifies- providing a total does not work. Please repost and indicate which authors you are claiming

Task 5.5 requires that you include the cover when you post. Please repost this task with the required information.
Task 25.8 requires that each book be at least 300 pages. The edition of If You Find Me you've linked to has less than 300 pages. If you actually read an edition that had 300+ pages, please repost this task linking to the correct edition.

Task 30.1, option 1 requires that you "get to know an acquaintance better," which means you should have discovered the author since Jan. 2013 and have read at least one book by the author. Both of the authors you've posted for this task appear to be new-to-you authors rather than authors you've found and read since January. If this is incorrect, please repost this task making the connection clear.

Task 30.1, option 1 requires a book written by an author you discovered in 2013 and are already acquainted with, not a new-to-you author."
Oh, thanks. I guess I didn't read it closely enough. I'll repost that task. Luckily I rolled a 6 so I get to choose an option and that title happens to also fit for option 5. :)

Well, that was not clear to me, even after re-reading the task. I will not re-post this one, as I am still not sure.

so basically:
new author to you this year
read at least one book by them prior to this SRC task

There are several Samanthas in the challenge. Please repost these tasks with your Readerboard name at the top of your post.

Task 5.1 - The link you've provided goes to an author. For instructions on how to add a link to the book you've read, please refer to the Add book/author/cover Instructions in General Help. Then repost your task with a book link so it can be verified for points.

When posting multiple tasks, please list tasks in order from smallest to largest. This makes record keeping much easier.
Also, please adjust your total re: post 319 in this thread.

Task 20.7, option B requires you to include a link to your completed task post showing which option you claimed points in the previous challenge. Please repost this task with the required information.

You didn't indicate which task you were claiming in this post, but from the information given I've assumed you mean task 25.6. If this is incorrect, please repost this task with the correct task number. If it is correct, there's no need to do anything else as that's have I've recorded it.

Thanks Dee. I can't fit this task in. I've put the books elsewhere.

You didn't indicate which task you were claiming in this post...
I had to mess up at some point:) Yes, that was the task.
Sorry and Thanks
