Fall Challenge 2013: Questions/Problems in Completed Tasks
Mary - post 23Welcome, Mary. We have several Marys in our records, but no one with the Readerboard name of Mary. If you previously posted with a different Readerboard name, please repost with that name.
If you do not have a Readerboard name, please request one in the Readerboard Names thread. That will get you entered into our challenge records. Once that is complete, please repost including your Readerboard name.
Barbara★ - post 104Task 10.8 - The task requires the genre historical fiction or history to appear on the book's main page. Rebel has neither of these genres on it's main page.
bamaace83 - post 111Task 30.7 - The task description states: "If both dice are the same, roll again until you get two different numbers."
Two books that both fit option 6 will not work.
When you repost, you will also need to "Indicate in your post which author(s) are new to you."
Lacy Stewart - post 113Task 5.2 - There is no book listed in your post.
Please repost with a link to the book you read and it's author.
Kristi (Passion for the Page) wrote: "Lacy Stewart - post 113Task 5.2 - There is no book listed in your post.

Oh gosh! I'm sorry. I'm sick and out of it. I will repost.
Lacy wrote: "Oh gosh! I'm sorry. I'm sick and out of it. I will repost."That stinks. Hope you feel better, Lacy!
Rhiannon - post 123Task 10.10 - The task requires "a main character [who] is a military veteran (a former member of the armed forces)". I don't believe My Brother Sam Is Dead fits that requirement. From the reviews of the book, it does not appear as if Sam left the service. He remained a soldier to the end. If there is a main character who is a veteran please repost and identify the veteran.
Amanda VA - post 125Task 30.7 - REQUIRED: Indicate in your post which author(s) are new to you.
Please repost this task with the required information.

I will repost because it will work for option 5.10
Donna Jo - post 156Please check your total.
I have recorded: 5.1, 5.4, 10.1, 10.8, 15.4, and 15.5 for a total of 60 not 70.
Suzanne - post 157Please check your total.
I have recorded: 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.8, and 10.2 for a total of 30 not 25.

Kristi, I'm sorry. You are right. For some reason I had 5.1 with 15 points and my spread sheet believed me.
I've corrected it.
Donna Jo wrote: "Kristi, I'm sorry. You are right. For some reason I had 5.1 with 15 points and my spread sheet believed me."Darn those spreadsheets. When will they learn? ;-)
Rhiannon - post 177Task 20.4 requires that you state which number the book you chose is on the list. Please repost this task with the required information.
No need to repost the other tasks in this post. They have been recorded.
Claire M - post 185Please list your completed tasks in numerical order from smallest to largest. This makes record keeping much easier. Thanks.
Candace - post 187Task 20.8 requires that the book you choose be over 250 pages. Beowulf: A New Verse Translation is only 214 pages long.
Judy - post 188Task 10.8 requires that the book you read be set in/about a time period before you were born. It also includes the required element: REQUIRED: You don't have to tell us your age ;), but please explain briefly how your book fits the task requirement.
Please repost this task with the required information.
No need to repost the other tasks in this post. They have been recorded.

Whoops! Sorry about that. I totally blanked on that requirement. I'll use the book for another task.
Kristi (Passion for the Page) wrote: "Claire M - post 185Please list your completed tasks in numerical order from smallest to largest. This makes record keeping much easier. Thanks."
Sorry, I changed my mind about which task I was using it for halfway through posting and forgot to switch them round.
Sandra - post 190Task 30.1, option 1 should be a book by an author you've read a book by since January 2013, not a new-to-you author (as implied by the statement "Finding new authors can be fun, but sometimes it's nice to just get to know an acquaintance better").
Leslie W - post 191Please list your completed tasks in numerical order from smallest to largest. This makes record keeping much easier. Thanks.

Doesn't this show historical fiction 8 users listed on the main page? Maybe I'm confused as to which is the "main page".

Nope, you've got the right page. Either I'm going blind or Goodreads was wonky that night! Sorry about that..... Your points will show up in the next update. ;-)

Totally misread the task, will repost with another book for that option. Thanks!
Bluemoon - post 202Task 20.7, option B requires you to include a link to the post in the previous challenge where you claimed points to the task you're claiming in 20.7. Please repost this task with the required information.
No need to repost the other task in this post. It has been recorded.
MJ - post 225Task 20.3 requires you to include in your post the name of the GR friend whose list you used. Please repost this task with the required information.

Mary - post 236You need a Readerboard name to participate in the challenge. Please see post 2 in this discussion thread for directions.
Kat T - post 237We do not have a Kat T in our records. If you previously posted with a different Readerboard name, please repost with that name.
If you do not have a Readerboard name, please request one in the Readerboard Names thread. That will get you entered into our challenge records. Once that is complete, please repost your tasks including your Readerboard name.

Sandra - post 209Task 30.7 - The Boy in the Striped Pajamas has the genre "childrens" on its main page and is less than 300 pages long. Therefore, it cannot be used for a 30-point task unless specifically allowed by the task creator.
Bluemoon - post 254Task 20.7 - The link that I'm missing is the one to YOUR completed task post that shows that you completed option 3 for task 20.2 in the spring challenge. You get this link by right-clicking on the time/date stamp in the upper right corner of the post where you claimed the task and choosing "copy link."
Also, make sure the book you're claiming is linked when you repost.
Kristi I did not supply a link in my task (post 253), but did copy and paste the task. Thank you for the information on how to provide a link so I know how to do so for future tasks :)
Angela wrote: "Kristi I did not supply a link in my task (post 253), but did copy and paste the task. The task description provides a link to the tasks themselves and option A (the one you did) does not require you to link to your completed task post from the spring or summer challenge (because people who do option A haven't completed the task before).
Sarah M - post 277Task 20.7 -- The Last Unicorn has the genre Childrens on its main page and is <300 pages long.
Books with the genre "childrens" or "kids" that are between 100 and 299 pages may only be used for 5, 10, and 15 point tasks. Books with the genre “childrens” or "kids" on their main page may ONLY be used for tasks above 15 points IF they are at least 300 pages long or the task description specifically notes their inclusion.

Sandy MN - post 308Task 30.7 requires you to indicate which author(s) are new to you. Please repost this task with the required information.
No need to repost the other task in this post. It has been recorded.
Reminder
When claiming big book tickets, if you read an ebook, audiobook or large type book use the page count for the mass market paperback if one exists. If there is no mass market paperback edition, use the paperback edition and if no paperback is available use the hardcover edition.
It is helpful to include a link to the print edition in your post.
You are responsible for identifying the number of tickets claimed. If you only request one when you may qualify for two or more, you will only be awarded one.

Jenifer - post 313You did not include a task number in your post, but from the information you've given I assume you're claiming task 25.2. If this assumption is not correct, please repost this task with the correct task number. Otherwise, no need to repost.

If you have questions about your points on the Readerboard:
1. Make sure that the Readerboard has been updated through the post that you are concerned about.
2. Please check your math.
3. Check to see if one of your posts is listed in this thread with a question. If so, please make a NEW POST in the Completed tasks thread to clear up the question. DO NOT go back and edit the original post. I will not go backwards in the completed task thread to pick up points.
4. To avoid further questions/problems, please refer to the TASK DESCRIPTIONS and the POSTING REQUIREMENTS.
Thank you for helping keep the record keeping for the challenge as manageable as possible.
