Mandy (mettakaruna) 33. Half Broke Horses A True-Life Novel by Jeannette Walls Half Broke Horses A True-Life Novel

Great "novel" about Jeannette Walls grandmother. It also gives you a lot of background on her mother which helps you understand her more in The Glass Castle.

Mandy (mettakaruna) 35. Night by Elie Wiesel Night

I'm really glad I took the easy classes in HS and got out of reading this then. This book would have damaged me more then that it has now. What a terrible yet good book. I am amazed at Weisel's ability to put that experience into the words that he did describing that terrifying experience. I am just.... I don't know. I am glad to finish the year with this book, knowing it is one that I will not only read again but it will live with me as if it was my own memories.
