My copy of this book http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10... only says OTHERLAND on the cover. The Goodreads listing says CITY OF GOLDEN SHADOW (OTHERLAND #1). You can see the cover for yourself by clicking on the link.

The manual says the title should match the book cover. Can I change it to say OTHERLAND: THE CITY OF GOLDEN SHADOW (OTHERLAND #1) without all caps of course

I ask because the book has 22 editions and almost all only mention OTHERLAND as the series name. If I sort by title the first word is CITY. My cover doesn't say CITY so I wouldn't find it.

Empress (the_empress) It seems to be correct: http://www.worldcat.org/title/otherla...
Also the other editions show the full title. But I am always confused in this situations. Let's see what other librarians have to say.

When the series title is the ONLY title on the cover (see also http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/10... and http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/87...), and the individual book's title only appears inside on the title page, it's ok to include the series title in the title field. See those two examples for formatting.
