message 2: by Sierra (new)

Sierra (skippingstones4) | 819 comments You can message me too.

You could try doing something you enjoy to keep your mind off of cutting.

Go for a run, or just exercise in general.

Umm...I know there's more things...I'll find them. Just give me a minute.

Sierra (skippingstones4) | 819 comments Okay. This is a list of stuff one of my good friends gave me:

1. Clean your room.
2. Paint your nails
3. Exercise vigorously! (unless you have an ED)
4. Complete pages of a Wreck this Journal
5. Write poetry
6. Draw on yourself with sharpies
7. Do a puzzle
8. Go on a walk
9. Take a warm shower/bath.
10. Hold Ice where you normally would cut/burn
11. Call a friend

And she also gave me a list of reasons to recover:

1. So I won't be afraid when a 7 year old tells me they want to be just like me
2. So I won't have to see the looks on my loved ones faces when they find out
3. So I won't have urges to fight
4. I'll be able to shower without opening my cuts
5. I'll be able to wear bracelets because I want to not because I have to
6. I'll be able to wear short sleeves
7. To exercise to reward yourself with endorphins and not punish yourself for what you've eaten
8. To share my story an help others recover
9. To go back to doing the things I used to love

Just stay strong CS. I believe in you <3
