Author alphabetization in lists

I am wondering why some of the books on my shelves alphabetize separately from the rest of the books. i.e. I sort my list by authors, alphabetically, and I have 20 or so books that are alphabetized by those authors, but out of place with the other books in the list. Is this an issue with those specific book entries? If so, how could it be corrected? I have already tried reentering the author names, and it didn't work.

Hi Hope,

Sometimes there are spaces at the end of the author's name that messes up the sorting. You can remove it by hitting 'edit' on the author page.

Hmm. That seems to have cleared up some of the books, but others are still out of place - with no extra spaces or other marks in the authors' place. Is there anything else, short of reloading the book, that might be able to fix this? In this specific case, Lloyd Alexander is mixed in with Bruce Alexander.
