Where do I start :)

The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon
Discworld series by Terry Pratchett
Anita Blake series by Laurell K Hamilton
Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris
Anything by Trudi Canavan

Best place to look at is the adult end of the teenager books. It is all fantasy/magic like House of night & immortal instrument series, which are both being made into films.

Would be interesting to hear others point of view on this book - and its short so could always be a 2nd read for October!
