Hi, everyone! I have been called a Jesus Freak more than once... and I'm a full-time writer... so I guess this is the group for me!
Hi I'm Anna. I've almost finished the first draft of my first book. I only started seriously writng this year and thinking about it last year. It feels like I've been working on it for longer though.
We're glad to have you, Ashley! You'll find several other spec-fic writers here, myself included! :)

I really enjoy writing around the second world war. That whole time period just fascinates me! I do enjoy writing medieval as well, but WWII time period would definitely be the one I write in the most. Thank you all for the welcome! :) It is fun to get to "meet" fellow writers!! :D
I'm Jason McIntire, author of the Sparrow Stories series. (Quite a lengthy series, with two books to date....) I also do most of the work running Elisha Press, a small label under which we publish my books and those of my mom, Rachael - and as of February 2nd, one by my older brother Zach.I read mostly non-fiction. When I do read fiction, I like realistic stories that glorify God. I don't like romance for the sake of romance, violence for the sake of violence, or grittiness for the sake of grittiness. I do like it when all such elements are in presented in balance, instructively, and with the least possible offense. I enjoy humor a lot, as long as it too ultimately glorifies God. That's the standard I strive for in my own writing.

They are the first two books in its trilogy. Currently, I'm working on the third and final book!
I completely concur with your last paragraph statement, except no I don't mostly read non-fiction. :P
I think its so cool your family has its own press, Jason. That's very cool and such a wonderful thing to do as a family!
Thanks for being awesome ;)
~Kaitlyn Deann
Nice to meet you, Kaitlyn. Publishing our own books is a cool thing to do as a family, and it really is a full-court press at times with nearly everybody involved.

Hi everyone!I've recently been looking for an online community of Christian writers to be a part of, and it only recently crossed my mind to search on Goodreads. I feel so blessed and happy to have found this group. My name is Julia, but feel free to call me Julz. I've written in multiple genres under the vast umbrella of speculative fiction, but my current manuscript if a YA High Fantasy. I'm looking forward to being a part of this group and connecting with like-minded writers. God bless ^^
Welcome!! We're very glad you found us! Spec-fic is the best! :) I always love meeting other fantasy writers! :D
Thank you for the warm welcome! I'm so glad to be here! And also thanks to the creators and mods of this group for giving Christian writers their own little space on the internet. Also, I don't know if this topic is the right place to say this, but if anyone is looking for a critique partner or writing buddy, my Goodreads inbox is always open. :D
I'm glad you have found our group to helpful!! I hope you'll be able to connect with many other writers here!
Thank you for the offer of writing buddy/critique partner! :)

Hi I'm Ashley, I'm 13 years old (will be 14 in April) and am a homeschooled writer (I haven't published any books yet tho). I am a rebelutionary (for those of you who've read Do Hard Things!!!), I love dogs, books, swimming, rollerskating, archery (I'm still learning), the medieval period, writing, music, reading, and living for Jesus!!I'm glad to join this group! I can relate a lot to what many of you have said, and I'm glad to be a part of this Christian writers group! ;)
If you don't mind me talking about my books, I will introduce them to you!
Welcome, Ashley! We're excited for you to join us!
We'd love for you to share about your books! You could do that here or over on the Story Descriptions thread

Welcome to the group, Ashley. :)
Hello all :)I'm a Jesus-loving, Germany-wanderlusting, introverted Southerner who's busy big-sister-ing and rain-loving and simply being happy. I love dancing, writing, baking (or cooking), and either debating or teaching the Evolution-Creation topic. Most importantly, though, is that I'm the daughter and friend of the King of Kings; and I love Him <3
That's me in a nutshell :)
~McKenzie~
So...I've kicked around joining this group for years and keep seeing friends leave comments. I finally took the plunge today!I write historical fiction and the occasional contemporary. Of course they all become Christian stories... I do not have anything published yet, but I did finally complete NaNo, so I hope I am getting closer!
I am a crazy bookworm and have already read almost fifty books this year. I was formerly homeschooled and now am an accountant with a nonprofit. I also teach music in the evenings and work at a bookstore a couple days a week.
~Hannah
Good afternoon everyone. My name is Jeff Andras and I am just putting the finishing touches on my first book. Based on the group name I thought it/I would fit in. I do a blog that I try to update once a week. My heart is filled with a desire to lead God's people back into the unity for which we were called to be. The book is shown as available but the cover image has a Type-O that will be corrected within the next few days. As soon as that is done and the website is up and running I will be doing various promotional discounts. Thanks for letting me join, and please check out my author page where you can find links to the blog, my website, and information about me and the book. God bless.
