Clair looked down at the table, tracing invisible patterns on its surface. She hoped it wouldn't be this awkward all night.

"....so, um...how has school been going for you?.." She asks, unsure of what else to talk about.

Josh- I shrug. "It's been okay, I guess. Coach pulled me aside after practice so he could talk to me about something."

Clair sighed, "...yeah, and it all just feels like your world is crashing down and that somehow its your fault..." She mumbles, lost in thought over everything, thinking about everything that had happened to her and forced her into this life.

Clair watched the waitress walk away she idly messed with the bracelet she was wearing, not knowing what to talk about now.

Josh- I notice her messing with the bracelet then ask "Were'rd you get the bracelet?"

She glanced up and immediately regretted it, she looked back down at it, it had been the only thing she had been allowed to keep from her past life and that was only because it was the last thing her father had given her before whatever happened happened. "....oh, um...i don't remember, I've had it for a while now." She lied.

Josh- I nod. "It suits you." I say getting a wired feeling that someone was watching us, glancing around to see if I'd just thought it or if someone really was.

Clair nods, "...yeah." She glances up at him again, seeing his uneasy look, she frowns a bit, "...are you alright?" She asks, clearly concerned.

Josh- I shake my head to clear it. "Just thought I felt someone watching us." I tell her as I look back around at her

Josh- "yeah, that's true. although I gotta say it was creepy."

She sighs, "...its okay, its probably just all in you mind." She starts to reach out to lay her hand on his, sometimes that helped if someone felt nervous about something. At the last second she thought better of it, not wanting to make things awkward between them. She played it off by just grabbing her water and taking a sip, though she doubted it was very convincing.

Josh- I smile noticing how she changed cross at the last minute to take a drink of her water instead of touching my hand. Then go on to say "yeah your most likely right."

Clair nodded, setting down the glass again, "....yeah.." She bit the inside of her lip, not knowing what else to say or do.

Josh- I see the waitters coming back with our food. Then ask before she got their "You wanna go any place else after dinner? Movie? ice cream place?"

Clair thinks about it a second, then shrugs, "....i dunno, depends on what you wanna do."

Josh- "well seeing as it's a secode run one there's Red, Mortal Interments, Heat, cheating life, and some other ones"

She frowned a bit, not recognizing any of the names, "...i dunno what any of those are." She thought she had heard of 'The mortal instruments' before but she wasn't sure what it was about.

Josh- I take a bite of my burger then say "Red is a cop drama, Mortal Interments is -- well I don't really know I think it's more of a girl thing to be honest. Cheating life is a horror and Heat is another cop drama thing."

"...oh, okay...well then in that case 'Cheating Life' sounds the best to me, im not really into cop dramas or anything..." She says, picking up her fork and messing around with her salad w bit before taking a bite.

Josh- "cool, for a moment there you got me scared that you'd pick the girly one"

Clair laughed a bit, "...no, I'm really not into obsessing over that kind of stuff....unless its something worth obsessing over, like the band Boys Like Girls or Divergent, if you mess with Divergent you die." She answers, "...other than that, no obsessions here!"

Josh- I laugh a little "Okay, and you'll have no messing here seeing as I have no idea what Divergent is. although I have heard of that band and their pretty good"

Clair smiles, " good....I'm impressed, most people are just like 'who are they?' " she says, referring to the fact he knew who that band is.
