Clair bites the inside of her lip, the silence feeling somewhat awkward. "....so....is there any other places around here where you like to spend your free time?" She asks, feeling like she needed to fill the silence somehow.

Josh- "Yeah, you wanna grape whatever it was you where thinking about getting frist and then go check them out?" I ask

Clair shrugs, "...sure." She walks over and grabs the few things she had found that she planned on giving to her mom, she went to the counter and paid for the items before coming back over to stand by his side.

Josh- I was waiting by the door for her. 'Ready?"

Josh- "Yeah most people come here for the ice cream...it's amazing."

Clair nods, "...i guess most ice cream shops are generally busy, the one in my old town was pretty busy too.."

Josh- "theres one more in town but they dont' really have good ice cream."

Josh- We get up and ordder our stuff

Clair took a small bite of her ice cream, she was surprised at how different it tasted from what she had in her old town, "...wow, you weren't kidding, this is amazing.."

Josh- I smile "glade you like it, best ice cream ever right?"

Clair nods, "totally...and i thought the dairy queen in my old town was good.."

Josh- I nod. "Where did you move from anyways?'

I pause for a second before remembering the story, "oh...we moved here from L.A...my mom thought it would be nice to live in a smaller city for once.."

jOSH- "well you came to the right place then if you where looking for small." I say

Clair nods, "....its kinda nice just to get away from the chaos and bustle of it all."

Josh- I nod "yeah, Ive always wanted to go to LA some day but then I think about all the crazyines that goes on when you get into the city."

Clair sighs, "...yeah..at least now i can actually get some decent sleep..our apartment was next to the train tracks." She bit the inside of her lip, surprised at how easily the details of her fake life flowed out of her.

Josh- "damn...let me guess and the train always ran at night and never during the day."

Clair sighed, "...not exactly...it was a 24 hour train system, it pretty well ran all day..." She had never been good at lying, she had always been too afraid of what might happen if she did, she wondered when exactly that had shifted, of course when faced with lie or die lie was the preferred approach.

Josh- "well luckly enough for you, we don't get many trains. One or two a year five at the most. But that's faither out of town."

Clair nods, "...well thats good." She replies smiling a bit, "..maybe that fear of mine about being hit by a train will subside.." She mumbled. At least that part was true, she had always been scared of trains ever since she was little. That small truth mixed in with the ocean of lies helped to somewhat ease her mind, at least it was a true part of her.

JOSH- "How would you get hit by a train?" I ask half kidding with her

Clair looks down at her ice cream, "..i dunno...its just... when i was little i was out playing in the apartment yard with some friends when the ball we were playing with rolled out onto the tracks, one of them went to get it and a train came speeding around the bend, he didn't have time to get away.....stuff like that messes you up." Clair bit her lip to keep herself calm, all the small details weren't exactly true but it had happened, when she closed her eyes she could still see it all.

Josh- I reach my hand out resting it on top of hers. "I'm sorry about you're firend.....you shouldn't have had to see that."

Clair sighs and glances over to him, managing a small smile "....its fine,..I've learned to deal with it.."
