Emily (emilyamazingxx) | 2237 comments That didn't answer my question and you brought it back once again to politics. I did not say it was about politics. I said nothing about Liberalism or Conservatives or any of the sort. I asked basic, simple questions that you should be able to answer without politics.

I'm sorry I can't be every bodies friend, that is just how I am. I don't respect those who I don't respect.

Being pompous and arrogant is no excuse.

message 305: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments Arrrgh, you aren't getting me Emily. I'm not rude to people because I don't like them PERSONALLY. It has nothing to do with personality because you don't see personality on the internet. I told you why I am in these groups, and why I am the way I am. Politics and daily life are inseparable to me.

message 306: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments I'd actually say me Ego doesn't allow me to be wrong, probably. Therefore, I fight my way to victory.

There, make you happy?

message 307: by Emily (new)

Emily (emilyamazingxx) | 2237 comments Yes, I understand that perfectly. What I meant is why did you join this site?
I'm not trying to be rude. And actually, it's very easy for me to figure a person's personality through the internet. Maybe not for you, but we all can't be the same.

message 308: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments Oh, I joined the site because I love books. I live and breathe reading. The book part is why I'm here. The groups are secondary to the overall is experience.

message 309: by Kyle (new)

Kyle Borland (kgborland) There is nothing wrong with being pompous and arrogant sometimes :P

Course I'm a semi-loveable goofball the rest of the time so who knows :)

Davis isn't THAT bad...he's just blunt. Thats a good word, blunt :D

Emily (emilyamazingxx) | 2237 comments Davis wrote: "I'd actually say me Ego doesn't allow me to be wrong, probably. Therefore, I fight my way to victory.

You have a very big ego then. Too big of an ego gets you no where in life. It only makes you miserable.

Just saying.

message 311: by Marley (last edited May 27, 2009 09:17PM) (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments Blunt is a word you use when you don't want to say 'rude asshole'. Which he is sometimes. I still think we could try to get along, at least when we aren't debating, then again, all of you are quite 'blunt', even Kyle, who may be loveable, unless he is calling you a stupid bitch, then, not so much.

message 312: by Emily (new)

Emily (emilyamazingxx) | 2237 comments "There is nothing wrong with being pompous and arrogant sometimes :P"

keyword: sometimes

message 313: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments Yeah, I got a pretty decent sized ego. I do work on shrinking it constantly though.

No, I'm fucking with you. I just like to win, I'm very competitive and I have found some very easy opposition here, why not be the best I can be? Why fold over like someone with no backbone?

That has been the problem with a lot of liberals, no resolve. Well, not me. I believe in what I believe in and that will continue to remain; and I will do my best to spread the good word to those who need to hear it the most.

And yes, Kyle, I'm very blunt and direct. I don't pussyfoot around.

message 314: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments "keyword: sometimes"

I just want to point out that your self-righteousness is totally canceling out anything else you say to me right now.

message 315: by Emily (new)

Emily (emilyamazingxx) | 2237 comments Please explain to me how I am being self-righteous?

message 316: by Kyle (last edited May 27, 2009 09:28PM) (new)

Kyle Borland (kgborland) Me? Self-righteous? Didn't I just admit I'm a pompous asshole? :P

Hey I never said I'm not blunt! :P
I apologized for calling you a stupid bitch ;)
And we got a cool nickname out of that spat, Loveable Bitch. :D

message 317: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments Emily wrote: "Please explain to me how I am being self-righteous?"

You are holding the right to judge me and call my actions "X" "Y" or "Z", when in fact, they really aren't these things at all. I may come off a bit brash, but anyone reserves the right to be just as brash back. The fact is that being confrontational oftentimes gets people attention better.

message 318: by Marley (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments Still, you called me a stupid bitch, and that...was mean!

message 319: by Emily (last edited May 27, 2009 09:32PM) (new)

Emily (emilyamazingxx) | 2237 comments "You are holding the right to judge me and call my actions"

How am I judging you? I very simply asked a few questions ABOUT you. I don't understand how that's judging you. I never said anything to judge you.

"I may come off a bit brash, but anyone reserves the right to be just as brash back."

I never said you couldn't be. Hell, I can be a bitch to you right now and curse you out but you can do the same back and I just won't give a damn.

message 320: by Kyle (new)

Kyle Borland (kgborland) Yes. I did. And I apologized. But in my defense Emily agreed you were acting like a bitch at the time :P

And yeah, I like fucking with people as well. It's how I find out their personality online. How they react to certain things shows what type of person they are. I'm one hell of a stubborn ass irish girl and in no way will i be friends with someone who can't handle me :)

Hmmm, it's pretty equal. These men purposely harm their own country's. They have their own particular brand of Terrorism.

Yes but millions of people believe what the three evils you said are saying, and everyone in the world (who isn't a crazy Jihadist) believes that three people I mentioned are evil. So, they're no where NEAR the same thing :P

1. what do you personally think of me?
and
2. did i make you mad at any point during my asking of those questions?

message 341: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments Who has done the greatest harm to America so far? Those 3, undoubtedly.

message 342: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments "1. what do you personally think of me?"

I have no idea who you are. I don't think we have ever had a conversation or a debate.

"2. did i make you mad at any point during my asking of those questions?"

Nope, but you made me laugh.

message 343: by Marley (new)

message 344: by Davis (new)

Just telling the truth.

Kyle Borland (kgborland) Davis wrote: "Who has done the greatest harm to America so far? Those 3, undoubtedly. "

So Osama who was one of the masterminds behind 9/11 killing 3000 people..is on par with what Limbaugh does/did? You can't really be serious about this.

message 346: by Emily (last edited May 27, 2009 09:55PM) (new)

Emily (emilyamazingxx) | 2237 comments "I have no idea who you are. I don't think we have ever had a conversation or a debate."

"Nope, but you made me laugh."

Good, that was my whole intention :)

Well, I don't really believe in the Official 9/11 story (not the place to debate this). But, even with the official story, of 3000 people dead, I would say that those 3 combined have negatively affected, say, 20 million people. Possibly more because they have helped the election of corrupt officials and have harmed the elections of great public servants, harming ALL of America. So I'd still make the argument that those 3 are worse.

message 348: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments "I doubt it but I mean as of since our slight conversation right now this past half hour"

I don't know, you just seem like another person who concentrates on how I phrase my arguments rather than the substance they hold.

message 349: by Kyle (new)

Kyle Borland (kgborland) Just because you think that they "corrupted" America doesn't mean they have. And it definitely does not give them the same title/status as Osama Bin Laden. Thats ridiculous, and for someone so intelligent as you, its sort of disappointing.
