Jayda UGH. I'm so ticked and upset right now :(
So, that guy friend that I told some of you about, the one that I'm writing the story based off of... He was single for a while and I figured that he'd ask me out and everything would be fantastic. I FOUND OUT TODAY THAT HE HAS ANOTHER FREAKING GIRLFRIEND! I just want to punch him sometimes D:

So, for all of you male members: why do guys have to be such jerks? I don't understand... Oh, and are guys always blind to signals because if so... that sucks :)

-This was a joke for those who come into the discussion late-

Jayda Haha xD Right.
So you want us girls to be confused and miserable?
Awesome.

Just kidding, of course.

message 5: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments Nope, I want none of those things really Emily. Some guys just get to the point where we don't want to play the games with women anymore.

And Jayda, I don't want to be rude, but are you sure it's not your faulty perception that caused this?

message 6: by jeeves... (new)

jeeves... | 644 comments wow davis, nice. real nice. :P

message 7: by Jayda (new)

Some of you more, uh, conservative beliefs. I know that personally, I couldn't like anyone who is as conservative as you are.

message 14: by Jayda (new)

Jayda The guy I'm talking about is a Libertarian like me xD
So that definitely wouldn't be it.

message 15: by Seth (new)

Seth (ninjaaaaaofwritingbooks) | 544 comments Hmm . . . I'm kinda a jerk . . . >.<

also not much. at home. NOT doing school, because homeschool is the world's worst idea when your rents go somewhere and say "be a good boy and do your school" psh. yeah. >.<

Oh well, then obviously the guy is mentally troubled, I wouldn't say you should judge all men by that standard.

message 19: by Jayda (new)

Jayda You can be such a jerk, Davis. Seriously?

message 20: by jeeves... (new)

jeeves... | 644 comments ouchouchouch... mentally troubled? dude, for being... conservative or whatever the.... whatever libertarian means? come on man. close minded much :p

message 21: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments Jayda wrote: "You can be such a jerk, Davis. Seriously?"

Ehh, I take my shots when I can. You've been giving me a hard time all day.

"ouchouchouch... mentally troubled? dude, for being... conservative or whatever the.... whatever libertarian means? come on man. close minded much :p"

I've never me a libertarian who had a good grasp on the actuality of the world. They believe in things like private schools, flat taxes, etc, etc.

message 22: by Jayda (new)

Jayda Because you're giving me a hard time. You bite I'll bite back.

Yes, we do. We can believe what we want to believe, you can believe what you want to believe. It doesn't make either of us right. Deal with it.

message 23: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments That is where your wrong. There is a view that is correct, and there is a view that is wrong.

message 24: by jeeves... (new)

jeeves... | 644 comments ..... well, as for private schools, i went to one last year, and there was nothing wrong with it except that my homeroom teacher might possibly have been hitler in disguise.
but one way or the other, "mentally troubled" is a bit... much.

message 25: by jeeves... (new)

jeeves... | 644 comments Davis wrote: "That is where your wrong. There is a view that is correct, and there is a view that is wrong. "

not technically. in the case of abortion for example, it's totally a moral issue.... actually, a lot of the topics here are moral issues. both sides are gonna consider the other one wrong, and technically neither can prove themselves right, so...

message 26: by Jayda (new)

Jayda And I think you're wrong, you think I'm wrong. There's no absolute way to prove which side is wrong and which side is right. Get that through your head.

message 27: by jeeves... (new)

jeeves... | 644 comments even if it's not moral, stuff like private schools or flat taxes (which, i'll admit, i have no idea about.) have their pros and cons, and the only difference is which side you weigh more heavily, the good things about it or the bad.... so there isn't necessarily a correct veiw for every topic...

message 28: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments Jayda wrote: "And I think you're wrong, you think I'm wrong. There's no absolute way to prove which side is wrong and which side is right. Get that through your head."

Except every time you say something, I systematically destroy every single point you make. You never ever are able to prove anything. You are ALWAYS wrong.

And actually, read any basic moral philosophy and you will see that issues of morality, can in fact be proven.

message 29: by jeeves... (new)

jeeves... | 644 comments dude. whoa. i'm gonna have to read some of those debates, cuz that sounds harsh...

well then i'll have to read any basic moral philosophy then, cuz i can't think of how.

message 30: by Jayda (new)

Jayda IN YOUR OPINION. I'm sick and tired of you being so pompous and arrogant about all of this crap. Honestly, you are the reason I've been sick and tired of your being so severely democratic and judgemental. I'm not stupid, I know that you aren't but at least I can recognize that. Just because we have different opinions it doesn't mean that we're both wrong. And I honestly thought that democrats were for peace but you NEVER show me any signs that you want peace between parties. And if you do than you are very poor at trying to create or show it. I give you proof and you deny it. It's simple as that - you're closed-minded and arrogant.

message 31: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments I don't say your stupid, I understand that you probably have a decent IQ and vocabulary, etc. But you are just so radically misinformed, that is what gets me. I am for peace between the parties, but this isn't parties in congress, this is some kids on the internet hahaha, I'm going to always say what I want to because I will never meet you in real life. You may give me 'proof' but then I prove your points wrong. So it isn't really proof. I don't deny it, I show why it is wrong.

message 32: by Jayda (new)

Jayda I completely disagree with you on what you said, which isn't unusual. I don't feel that I'm radically misinformed, I feel that you are. Going around in circles isn't going to help us one bit.

message 33: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments But the fact of the matter is, one of of is, and one of isn't. And I would say that the one who reads better, is more interested in economics, gets information from conservative, independent and liberal sources, and has more throughly studied politics would be the more informed.

message 34: by Jayda (new)

Jayda I don't have to surround my life and drown myself in politics daily to be sensible and have an opinion of my own. Honestly, if I wanted to I could be democrat. My parents wouldn't care either way. I could be an athiest democratic homosexual and they'd still love me just the same because it's my decision. I don't really care if you read 100 books a month on politics. It's still your opinion and your party's opinion and nothing else.

message 35: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments "I don't have to surround my life and drown myself in politics daily to be sensible and have an opinion of my own."

No but to claim any right to superiority, you do.

message 36: by Jayda (new)

Jayda Save it for the government then because honestly, I don't think any of us really care how many books or articles you've read. Just as long as you have decent logic and the ability to think and string words together. Debates are meant to be civil and I think we've made it quite the opposite because of our differences.

message 37: by Emily (new)

Emily (emilyamazingxx) | 2237 comments wow ok let's stop fighting....

sooooo how is everybody??

I've been fairly civil except for occasional name calling, which I apologize for. However, I think it's important to be well read and researched if you are going to debate politics and try and say that the side you believe in is right.

message 39: by Emily (new)

Emily (emilyamazingxx) | 2237 comments GAHHH davis!! >.< no more!

message 40: by Davis (new)

Davis (davismattek) | 3837 comments Emily wrote: "GAHHH davis!! >.< no more!"

I will do as a please. I don't have to let her try and get the upperhand.

message 41: by Emily (new)

Emily (emilyamazingxx) | 2237 comments Yes but you are practically telling her how to debate. you can't do that.
1. she won't listen
2. she has the right to do as she pleases
3. everyone debates in their own way
4. no one truly wins in a debate

Jayda OH, HAHA xD I thought you were talking about the Israel and Obama debate in We're the Kids of America. I actually did say a curse word there. Hell... Oh yes, I'm a rebel :) Just kidding. But I used to do my fair share of cussing, so I can't help it if one slips every now and then ^^

Lauren (djinni) | 7365 comments Mod
Hell, and crap, and not cursewords!

message 49: by Marley (new)

Marley (Marleyme95) | 5270 comments I consider crap a minor curse word, hell is not a cuss. It is my new vacation spot if I am incorrect. Shit is a minor cuss too. Now, If she starts saying fuck, and other such meanie words, I shall be happier

message 50: by Jayda (new)

Jayda I say crap all of the time xD
Hell is a curse word if you're not talking about the place.
