"At least I don't scare you as most as others." She said with a small smile. "Youst know I never intend to hurt people unless I have to, meaning if they provoke I will attack."

"That makes sense, but, believe me not if you wish, I have never slain another person before. Never. Harmed them, yes, but killed? No." She shook her head.

She gave a short, humourless laugh. "You may distrust me if you wish, but in time you will realise I mean you no harm."

"My weapons are with me because they are never not with me. As I have told you before, it is not unusual where I come from- and besides, I had been out hunting before we found this... place."

She sighed. "Is it really that difficult to believe I was born in 1229?"

She shook her head. "Impossible..." but she was talking more to herself than anyone else.
"NO, no, no, this maze thing must be impermeable to time... but allows time travel, allowing other people from other centuries to access it..." She said with a frown.

"I am not mocking you, I am simply stating a theory," she said with an apologetic smile.
"I- oh, I see why." She said. "By the way, my name's Elva."
Joe wrote: ""Yes, for I was born after the year 1900. I know little else, but that much I know, that then was not I living.""

She nodded. "Well, Elva's a shortened form of Evanescence."
She rolled her eyes with a small chuckle. "I'm not lying."

She laughed. "No offence taken."
"If you want me to dispute that-" She stood up, nocked an arrow to her bow and took a shot 18 meters away. The arrow shaft whistled into the keyhole of one of the doors, her target.

"Depends if I strike up enough courage to kill a person attacking us." She said and bit her lip.
"I don't see why not," she said with a shrug.
She hugged him back, surprised.
She smiled at him and said, "Friends?"
She grinned. "This day is getting weird. My first friend is from a different century. BUt I think that's really cool." She grinned at him then said, "Thanks."
She smiled and then walked to the door, pulling the arrow out of the keyhole. SHe put it back in her quiver and shouldered her bow.
She tossed him a strip of dark red, tough meat. "It's dried roe buck."
She smiled and took out another strip for herself.
"It's good energy," she told him and tore her strip in half.
