need help combining foreign language editions of two books please:

Well, I just tried with a translator to translate (German? to English) unsuccessfully with these two books:

Ein einziger Blick

Das Bootshaus unten am Fluss

Either there's another Michelle Richmond author who writes in German or the translations I got did not make sense.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Oh, a straight-up title translation is useful maybe half of the time! But WorldCat has the original title on the first one and the author's website had the second one, so I combined them for you.

Weird indeed Rivka, as I found out with these two books. It always makes me wonder about entire book translations as well, although I will continue to read them.

No translation is identical to the original, and some are better than others. But since I can't easily read anything longer than a few pages in any language but English, I think I'm stuck. ;)

Same here re being stuck. I'd rather read less than ideal translations than be confined to reading books originally written in English.
