How long did it take you to 'get' the title?

About 1/2 way thru Will Grayson, Will Grayson, I realized why it is called Will Grayson, Will Grayson and wanted to go back to the beginning to see all the clues this dim-wit missed. But now that I get it, I will finish the book (I'm a;most 90% down) ... then go back and reread several chapters. Am immensely enjoying it

Mate, give the blurb a crack in future. :P

I've always thought that the book should had been called something like: Will Grayson, Tiny Cooper, Will Grayson, as a sort of introduction conversation. That would have made the title epic.
Because let's face it, Tiny Cooper stole the book with a vengeance. I think he deserved to be in the title too.

Regarding when I noticed it, I'm afraid I heard John's overall plot in one of his videos, so yeah.

I knew from the beginning. Anyone else read this book because they were a fan of David Levithan? Anyone?

I am royally confused! I finally got to the part where the Wills meet each other at the porn shop in the middle of the book and I am just mind blown! What just happened?! I knew that there were two Wills, but I didn't realize that the different chapters were two completely separate people. I thought it was kind of weird that the writing style was so much different. I didn't really catch on to what was happening. Crap, I feel like I need to start this whole book over again!

Since the beginning. I think there were hints or I read the back or something.

I had to reread a couple of chapters in the beginning when I noticed the character seemed to be living a contradicting double life. Great book! :)

I was a huge fan of David Levithan prior to the book's release, and saw the reason for the title mentioned in various comments he made prior to it hitting shelves. That, and being familiar with Levithan's collab works with Cohn, I knew how he usually used characters with books like this, so I knew only one of the Wills was his, and I knew they were separate people, even if I hadn't caught the comments prior to reading.

Though I was pleasantly surprised that it was will rather than Will. Though, perhaps I shouldn't have been, considering that at the same time Levithan was finishing up this character, he was working on the Every You, Every Me project with Farmer. The tones of both characters are a little lower/darker than I'm used to with Levithan, but it was an exploration I enjoyed, for sure.

I could tell from the blurb. I also thought they made it quite obvious they were different people from the beginning and from the different writing styles.

i honestly found out when they met in the porn store, i was like what, wait, what.. then i read the chapter over and over again to see what had i missed. I tought it was the same person, literally just had different friends ors.

I knew since the beginning. The title says it all.

I knew from the beginning! try reading the blurb!

I knew before I even bought it. I'm a nerdfighter so I had heard about it.

I knew from the blurb. Sorry :P

Wait, what? I thought it was called Will Grayson, Will Grayson because both of their names are Will Grayson.
