I know this book was released in 2013, probably the spring. It was about a det./journalist/crime-solver who attempted suicide, failed, and is now solving a murder. I'm pretty sure it was in Ireland, but maybe the UK. And I also think there was a car on the cover. But that would be a red herring. I definitely remember the main character had attempted suicide - oh and it was a woman!
