yay! I read about 15% (so I'm up to 30%) in my Pick Me a Winner challenge - I'm reading

I loved Oryx and Crake, but I think it's because I read first and I think I did Oryx and Crake as an audio book (at least in part)

41 pages, I am now at 28%. It seems to be picking up a bit and making more sense. So far I find it very sad. I feel bad for Snowman.

yes, I think technically...but they are kind of "companion" books

Year of the Flood is told from the perspective of a group of fanatic religious group that lives outside all the special housing..... so when I read book 1, I already knew how it all played out but the two stories are happening almost simultaneously and I think they end at the same point....but I liked Year of the Flood better...maybe because it's told from a female perspective.....I thought book one was funny though :)
