I like seeing other people's notes and highlights, but I can not do it to my books lol. It's just one of those personal bookish pet peeves, I guess (like I don't dog ear my pages, but I don't care if other people do it).

Haha, I feel people are either one or the other, so I find that as odd.
And Deanna - I don't see it as ruining the book. I see it like crinkling clothing by snuggling someone too much. It's the wear and tear that proves it was used well and appreciated. Hence my insane love for second-hand books.
