Sophie, I totally know what you mean about distractions. LOL Sometimes I'm reading and my husband turns on the TV and he'll ask if I want to watch something, which is funny because he KNOWS when I'm reading that I want to read! So there are times if I need to really concentrate or it's the last few pages I'll go in our computer room and read. He likes being by me so he'll come in here and sit on our little love seat or he'll come behind me and massage my shoulders. I can't concentrate when he's doing that. Or he'll sit by on the couch and start talking to my dog who is always by me or he'll sit quietly a few minutes and then he'll say something..."babe, what do you want to do with this?" or "we need to get you a new bookshelf for all these books," etc. Mind you he's NOT trying to bug me, it's just the way he is. But there are times I want to say, "leave me alone! I'm reading!" LOL So even the silent or good distractions aren't good when reading. LOL
