Can you tell?In another story, I created a slightly different race. Human by all appearances but different. Once again, different rules. So much fun.
They sound like a few of my neighbours!
OH! so I'm not a specter after all, phew!
ah cheers Carol, I like it too.

I can't see you
Anna? just thinkin how come you can't use photobucket?
It's just something I have chosen not to do. I prefer to decide who to send my pictures to. I've looked at a lot of pictures there and I find the fact that I can make rather free with them a little unsettling.
hi...I'm Leonor, I'm portuguese and almost 13...I want to improve my grammar and to speak english better...you know...that kind of things
Hi Leonor. Welcome to our group. You've already made this group "work" by posting. That's all. Ask questions, make observations, talk to people, be friendly. That's all it takes! Do you live in Portugal itself?
Just wondering if you were from the Azores or Canary Islands or something. (One of my ancestors hailed from the Azores!)
ah...(I thod that in the Canary Islands people speak spanish)no,I was born in Braga, in the north but I live in lisbon.
Right you are, Leonor. The Canaries are Spanish and the Azores are Portuguese (for those of you keeping score out there).
Anyway, I only have a few exotic ancestors and that's only because a few of my forefathers worked on whaling ships out of New Bedford, Massachusetts. One married a Wampanoag Indian from Aquinnah, Martha's Vineyard, and another married a native of the Azores. Thus, my penchant for tanning easily in the summer.

The only exotic ancestors I have were horse thieves and moonshiners in Kentucky . There were a few Cherokee throw in though.
I so remember. A hundred years ago, going through the same thing. Mom would clean my room and I couldn't find things for weeks. I'll tell her for you if you like. I've long since grown out of being afraid to say anything to anyone - I just try my hardest to be diplomatic. I don't know - at 13, perhaps you could negotiate a private space. Your room is your room, keep out. Of course, you'd have to compromise somewhat. Be responsible for your own laundry or some such.
I have several boxes that fall into that category. I really hate digging into the back of my closet.
Sorry about that Leonor. Us old fogies left you in the dust? Jump right on in. There's room for you too. ;)If you don't, I'll accuse you of being shy.
We interrupt this discussion about moms (Hi, Mom!) to answer Deb's question. The new pic is some famous painting of a dude reading. Hope that helps...
