I'm guessing that the author wanted Sia to be out on the streets so that she could learn to be compassionate (knowing what I know from the synopsis), but why did he have to make her completely dumb in order to do it? Ah, I think this is supposed to be the explanation for the beginning -
(view spoiler)[When the doctor tells her parents that she has dissaciative fugue, he says "People with this disorder also tend to wander or travel away from their home, as Sia did." I guess this is supposed to explain why she wandered around homeless instead of going for help. Still doesn't explain why she gets in cars with random guys, though! (hide spoiler)]

Guys! I am so sorry that I have fallen behind! I was out all last night at the ballet and this night I had dance classes and went out for dinner. I know right! It was so obvious!

Now I am at 50% too. I just don't know how I feel about all of it. I don't like Sia much at all. I just feel like all of it just really clichéd - (view spoiler)[the amnesia, the mean girl turn good, the bitchy friends, the "loser" romantic interest etc. (hide spoiler)] I don't think I am really enjoying it.

I finally started this book yesterday, and just decided to get it out of the way and finished it. It's receiving 1.5 stars from me (which is the lowest rating I've ever given to a novel).

Are you both reading the same format? It often varies depending if you're reading on a kindle or a nook or something else. Kindle seem to work on the amount of text rather than the number of pages. If I switch between a paperback and the kindle when I'm reading the same book it will often be out by up to 8% or even more.

It's probably just slightly different. when I have to switch between my kindle and my laptop I end up searching for a specific word or sentence to find the right place because the percentages are usually off a bit. It's a bit annoying!
