"Just wondering," Richie said, getting a spoon and taking a bite of his cereal.

"So. How's life?" Richie asked awkwardly.

"Good…" Richie said with a small smile. He wolfed down his cereal.

"Why are you staring?" Richie asked, putting the cereal bowl down.

"Uh huh," Richie said. "Whatever you say..."

Richie heard the doorbell ring and glanced at Poppy with raised eyebrows.

Richie waited for Poppy in the living room.

Richie wondered who was at the door.

Richie picked up his bowl and walked into the kitchen to wash it when he caught sight of Tom. Richie waved at Tom with an amused smile on his face. Then, he proceeded into the kitchen.

"Tom, Tom, Tom," Richie said, shaking his head. "What ever are you doing here? I thought you had somewhere important to be."

"Can't you see? Poppy just likes me better than you. Or was it loves... I forget," Richie said with a smile.

Richie raised a brow. "Were you going to hit me?" he asked in mock horror.

"Oh, you're still going to hit me? Pity," Richie said.

Richie stumbled back and launched himself onto Tom, tackling him.

Richie froze.

"He started it," Richie muttered.

Richie shrugged. "You."

"It would appear so," Richie said.

"It's Tom!" Richie said. "I didn't throw a punch."

Richie stood up. "Bye," he said stonily.

"You obviously don't want me to," Richie said. "You don't care that I held back, that I *didn't* punch him."

"Not a problem," Richie muttered, walking out the door.

Richie slammed the car door after he got home and stormed into his room.

Richie decided he acted like a jerk and tried calling Poppy.

It went straight to voicemail. Richie hung up and put the phone down. He saw he'd received a text from Poppy and read it. Then, he replied, Really? You can't just talk to me?

Richie typed back: Never mind. I don't think you understand.

Nothing, Richie replied. I'll leave you alone.

Richie turned off his phone. He couldn't believe he and Poppy were fighting.

Richie turned on the radio and the family dog ran into the room and leapt onto the bed. He chuckled.

Richie got off his bed and picked up his phone, trying to call Poppy again.

"Hey Poppy. It's me," Richie said hesitantly b

"You okay?" Richie asked.

"The fact that 'people will ask questions'," Richie said, rolling his eyes.

Richie laughed. "Have you actually broken up with Tom yet?"

"I'm guessing he didn't take it well," Richie said.
