Richie glanced at everything but the couple.

Richie stared at the two.

Richie blushed a bit and looked at his shoes.

"Why would I do that?" Richie asked.

"So what if I do?" Richie asked calmly.

"Do you think she'd say it if it wasn't true?" Richie asked flatly.

"You don't trust her?" Richie asked.

Richie exhaled. "I didn't do anything," he said, pushing their kiss out of his mind for the moment.

Richie sighed and followed Poppy.

"Poppy…" Richie said trailing off.

"Are you mad?" Richie asked tentatively.

"D'you want me to leave?" Richie asked.

"Okay," Richie said. "Do you want me to stay? 'Cause Tom's here too, if you want."

"I don't know, Poppy," Richie said.

"Sorry," Richie muttered.

"Okay," Richie said, pulling Poppy into a hug. "I'm sorry about all that."

"Okay…" Richie said. "What are you gonna do about Tom?"

Richie nodded. "Are you ready to head home? I can drive you…"

"Well… you decide, Poppy. But I need to go somewhere too. I have to pick up my kid sister. Do you want to come along?" Richie asked.

"Okay. I'll be in the car. You should say bye to Tom. I'm sure he's around here somewhere," Richie said.

Richie got in the car while Poppy said bye to Tom. He turned on the radio.

Richie watched the two.

Richie changed the station to sleepy classical music. He frowned.

Richie woke up after a minute to see Tom and Poppy were still talking.

Richie watched Poppy climb into the car. "You okay?"

"Okay," Richie said, putting the car into drive and pulling out of the parking lot.

Richie drove to a nice two story house. "I'll be back. I'm just gonna get her real quick."

Richie got out of the car and knocked on the door. Soon, his sister came out an they went into the car. "Hi Poppy," his sister, Izzy said.

Richie gave a small smile and he proceeded to drive Poppy home.

"What's wrong with her?" Izzy asked Richie. Richie reached over and hit his sister on her shoulder. "Shut up," he said to his sister.

"Yeah, *Rich*, I was just asking a question," Izzy said tauntingly. She laughed. Richie rolled his eyes. "Nothing more fun than being in a car with two girls," he muttered.

Richie chuckled. Izzy rolled her eyes. "Are you two, like, dating or something?"

Richie gave Poppy a side glance. "I don't know, Iz," he said finally. He kept his eyes on the road and continued to drive.

Finally, Richie pulled up in front of Poppy's house. He killed the engine. "I'll walk you up," Richie said to Poppy.

"Izzy, it'll take, like, two seconds," Richie said wearily. "C'mon, Poppy." He got out of the car and shut the door, walking around the front of the car to get to the sidewalk.

Richie walked beside Poppy up the path. "So…"

"Wait, Poppy," Richie said, reaching out to take her wrist. "I'm, uh, I'm sorry about everything…"

"And I'm really sorry about Tom… and if Izzy made you uncomfortable, I'm sorry…" Richie trailed off.

"What's wrong, then?" Richie asked.

"Oh… okay... Are you mad?" Richie asked worriedly.

"Alright," Richie said feeling awkward. "I guess I should go."

"Yeah…" Richie stepped toward Poppy.

Richie cupped Poppy's cheek with one hand. "Is this okay?" he whispered.

Richie leaned in and touched his lips to Poppy's. "Good," he whispered, and then he kissed her.

Richie wrapped his arms around Poppy, never breaking the kiss.
