Jennifer I just read that Elmore Leonard died at 87. I was amazed at how many of his books were made into movies. What's your favorite Elmore Leonard book? I have read several, but I think Get Shorty (Chili Palmer, #1) by Elmore Leonard is mine.

Cheyenne Rum Punch(Jackie Brown). Loved the book and the movie. Out of Sight would be my second.

Fill Corey I read Tishomingo Blues a short time ago, and loved the Civil War re-enactment setting. Tough call to choose the "best".

Phil Ward "Unknown Man No 89" is fabulous. I picked it up in a 2nd hand book shop about 25 years ago then read everything I could find written before or after it.

Dana King He wrote books with so many different tones, it's hard to pick one. To me, the most fun is Get Shorty. City Primeval is gritty, Mr. Paradise is good all around, as is Pronto(the first appearance of Raylan Givens.) The Hot kid is also a great read. Pick one up at random and you're 80% sure to like it. And don't forget what might be his best book, Hombre. It's a Western, the book the Paul Newman movie was based on. A great read.

Lee Lipps Pagan Babies.

But this might be a growing up Catholic in the 1950's--'60's thing.
