Lea's Audiobooks Hensley (leahensleysaudiobooks) Tantor removed Pamela Clare's Surrender weeks ago from Audible. It had numerous quality control issues. We have been waiting for its rerelease at Audible as book 2, Untamed, is now out. Book 3, Defiant will be out next week.

We have received numerous inquires wondering why Surrender disappeared from Audible. We're just relieved it's back and, if you haven't checked it out, it's a fantastic historical romance listen!

Lea- due to your recommendations I want to get one of Pamela Clare's audiobooks. Would you suggest Surrender or Extreme Exposure to start?

I'm prejudiced towards Surrender as it is one of my favorite historicals - even in print. :) I tend to prefer historicals over romantic suspense although I think Clare's RS are among the very best. So I think it goes with the sub-genre you prefer. I have full reviews of both on my GR bookshelf if you are interested. Let me know what you think!

I re-downloaded Surrender this morning. I loved the narration even with the doubled up sentences etc but I had returned it to make a statement on the QC.

I have the times marked where the "oops" were and I am very interested to hear how the corrections went.

To be honest I loved the narration so much I'd have settled/kept Surrender mistakes and all but I'm impressed with Tantor's desire to up their QC credibility.

Not being jarred from the story by doubled up or obviously missing sentences will be a big plus though. ;)

Maybe I'll just go wild and get both! :-)

Maddy Barone (maddybarone) | 40 comments This is good news! I was reading Surrender when my foster cat knocked my kindle off the kitchen table and broke it. I have no money to replace it until early October, and I hate reading on my laptop. Now I can finish it in audio!

Have you tried calling/contacting Amazon, a friend of mine dropped his on the grass of all things... and they replaced it. They know they'll get their money back in purchases. Worst thing that can happen is they say no. He purchased it last fall.

Maddy Barone (maddybarone) | 40 comments I suppose I could try that. Mine was about 5 years old though, way past the warranty date. Still, like you said, the worst they could do is say no.

Dee (austhokie) | 1379 comments they might even do like a discount or something

Angie (angiemb) | 415 comments Extreme Exposure is just $6.99 at Tantor's site for the download. It's also been as low as $4.99 on there several times already during their Tantor download sales if you wanted to wait a little longer, although $6.99 is still good.

Angie (angiemb) | 415 comments I just noticed that Extreme Exposure is part of Audible's 3 for 2 sale right now, also.

The Scottish brogue, I fell in love with Ian's brogue.
The writing is wonderful, the narration fantastic.
I'm so happy I was able to download it :)

Fantastic! Just what we want to hear when we recommend a book. And I have recommended this one highly over and over! It's that good.

Sherylgod | 16 comments I am also listening to Surrender. This is quite enjoyable, interesting secondary characters, good plot, great narration! Only half way but definitely will try another Pamela Clare historical. Has anyone got a recommendation?

I would too!
I'm on Untamed right now, and I must say, I think I may be in love with Kaleo Griffith's voice. And he's done a lot of Pamela Clare's narrations. I've read most (if not all) her I-Team series, so I'm delightfully excited to hear more.
