FYI: It is Hebrew. To the biblical, Seth is the third child of Adam and Eve.

i never thought of seth as slothful!! i think that is way obsurd
he was soo patient.. waiting for ash to realise jsut how much he loved her.. and then he accepted everything.. keenan only wanted her because it would further his kingdom

It's okay if you prefer Keenan to Seth or vice versa, but backing up your argument with valid evidence is what we readers are supposed to do.
Hating Seth and trying to find his 'weakness' in any way outside the book itself is kind of silly. It is like a kid who hates a toy without any reason.

But the thing that I liked about Keenan, was the obvious attraction and pull that was felt between him and Aislinn. I didn't feel the pull to Seth so I didn't hope for them to be together as much. I really just wanted her to give in to Keenan.
I also didn't get the Donia thing. She didn't seem very special. I really would wanted the Summer King and Queen to be together.

Keenan does not even love Aislinn. He wants Ash for Ash is supposed to be his mate, his Summer queen. But he always love Donia. To have Keenan matched to Ash while he loves someone else is absurd.

But I think that what love is. Stupid as it is, Donia keep her strong grip on Keenan's love always.

shankyou for agreeing with me :)

yerr i no!!! i reckon this book wasn't tht good after all, it was O.K.

Actually this is a discussion forum. If you comment about something, it is appropriate for you to write your reason. Or you are probably beneath understanding.

Yes I thought the series was okay. I'm not saying that Keenan was right but he was trying to not screw things up for people and be a great king to make things right. So I understand the way he was. He was sacrificing himself and what he might want for others. There were so many points of views which made it a little confusing at times.
I can't really remember too much from this series because I read it around the beginning of this year. I've read too many books since then... lol
It's cool that you read them though. That's the main thing. Reading is rewarding. That's all that matters. The series was alright. I liked some of the characters and the storyline. I liked the darkness of it as well. I thought that book 2 was way too depressing though. I love dark faeries. =)

Wasn't how I would do it but then I have never written anything worth Jack so what do I know :-)

I guess I didn't really feel the attraction between Keenan and Donia either. It seemed like Donia was stuck on Keenan, but Keenan could have easily let go of her if Aislinn would have given him a chance. It almost seemed like she decided to keep Keenan and Donia together in the later books. I didn't think she was setting it up for the two of them to have a lasting relationship in the first book. I don't know, maybe it was just me. I read the first books a while ago, but when Keenan started worrying about Donia, I was like "where did that come from?" I thought he was over her in the first book.
Ok I feel like I'm rambling now. I'll stop. :)

You're not rambling. I feel the exact same way. I feel like there weren't any signs that it wasn't going to happen with the people who were in love. Keenan and Ash could have really been happy together. The attraction was there and so was the friendship. They were drawn to each other. And then at the end it was like Marr changed her mind at the last minute. It threw off the whole story.
I didn't see it with Keenan and Donia either. She gave up a long time ago. She shoulda been sleeping with that guard. So disappointing. =/

Keenan did not seem to have that big love for Donia when he understood that Ash was his destiny. I was also confused about his concern towards Donia. Did it happen because Ash did not care lot about him? MM wrote it like it was always there.
Seth did not capture my heart at the beginning. For me he was a mere human among the gorgeous male fey. I started to like him when MM made Keenan a moody one, one torn between 2 girls, despite the chemistry between him and Ash. I lost my interest on Keenan then. Wanting Ash and Donia both really made him a jerk.
