Natalie Conover The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime by Mark Haddon is about an autistic boy named Christopher John Francis Boone who lives in Windon, England. One night he discovered the body of his neighbor’s poodle Wellington on his neighbor’s lawn. Christopher is very intrigued by this death and decides to find an answer to this murder mystery.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime is the perfect book for anyone who likes mystery books, but is also looking for a fun and quick read. Most murder- mysteries are about deaths of actual people, but this story is about a dog that was murdered. Most people wouldn’t care about a dead dog, but Christopher finds it very intriguing.

Another interesting aspect of this book is the reader learns a lot about the actions of an autistic person since Christopher has that disability. It is quite different that Christopher knows every prime number up to 7,507, but at the same time he as many social issues and constantly has breakdowns and begins to scream and throw tantrums.

If any reader is looking for an enjoying, different and creative book I highly recommend The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night. The author does an excellent way of narrating the story in the view of an autistic boy. All the mystery in the story creates a great adventure perfect for a high school student to read.

Tash Dahling I much preferred The Red House. A little more adult.

Tim The Enchanter The curious incident was outstanding. A favorite of mine.

Lina PG disfruté mucho la lectura de este libro.

Dena Huff I loved this book and A Spot of Bother. I could not get into the Red House at all.

Hillel Halkin I loved the book. I thought it was a brilliant insight into the unfathomable world of autism and especially the Asperger branch of this syndrome. I have just seen the play in London which was first shown in the National theatre but has now moved to the West End. The play is a stupendous achievement and drew standing ovations night after night.

David Nice review, but I have a question. Is it just me or do some of these reviews sound like they are written by high school students who are here just to complete an assignment for class?

It's not just you. Some are just more explicit about it: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
