I like Benicio for Umegat but I'm thinking Caz and Palli are about 35 and so maybe should be a bit younger than Viggo/Daniel...hmm.Caz - Jake Gyllenhall or Jeremy Renner
Palli - Henry Caville or Orlando Bloom
Orico - Paul Giamatti
Betriz - Natalie Portman or Emma Watson
Iselle - Emilia Clarke (Daenerys) or Amanda Seyfried
Ista - Helena Bonham-Carter
The Provincara - Angelica Huston
Dondo - Eric Bana
Chancellor dy Jironal - Antonio Banderas

Great list, esp. Angelica Huston! I was toying with Jason Alexander for Orico, but I think you've nailed him. This, of course, is budget-no-object casting ...
A couple of maybe more outlier suggestions:Iselle - Molly C. Quinn (Alexis from Castle).
Betriz - Ginnifer Goodwin (Mary Margaret / Snow White from Once Upon a Time)
For Cazaril, I really can't settle on a first choice, but I'd be intrigued to see if David Tennant could pull off the role - he's got the right build, and the beard would be an interesting change.

So ... I guess Mickey Rourke would be completely out of the question, then?
I'm not going to pick anyone from the GAME OF THRONES cast because I just defaulted to them while reading the early chapters of the book and I feel like it's lazy casting. I'm totally with Mark B on Molly Quinn (from CASTLE) as Iselle.
I'd go Alexis Denisof(ANGEL) as Caz.
Walton Goggins(JUSTIFIED, THE SHIELD) as Dondo.
Brett Dalton(from Joss Whedon's new show AGENTS OF SHIELD) as Palli.
Nina Dobrev(VAMPIRE DIARIES) as Betriz.
I'm blanking on most of the other roles.
Because of the name similarities I always pictured the actor who plays Castiel from the show Supernatural in the role of Caz, but with a beard.
For some reason, I immediately imagined Palli as being like Paterson Joseph. I mean, he's perhaps a little too old for the character, but I just couldn't help imagining him that way. For Caz, my mind settled on Alan Tudyk. I'm not sure at all why, but once fixed, I could only see him this way, and I kind of think it suits him. It's odd, because I seldom get a clear image of characters as actors. No idea for any of the rest. Oh, except for the Provincara. Maggy Smith. Because.
I just started reaing, so I don't know all the characters yet.But for Caz I had this image of Stephen Amell from "Arrow".
In the part on the island, when he is stranded and has this weird beard, he looks like how I imagined Caz right at the beginning.
As I'm currently watching Season 4 of "The middle", guest actress Galadriel Stineman is my perfect fit for Iselle. Even her name begs her to play a fantasy role.^^
For Beitriz I see UK-Skins talent Kaya Scodelario.

Same here, no brainer. But I have to admit, that a lot of those kind of characters look like Maggy for me these days.^^
It's interesting how many of you seem to picture Caz by his tone and self picture, as being played by someone much older than his stated 35 years. I personally don't have faces in mind while I read, I came up with my list above afterwards, and tried to pick people that could look sort of spanish (except Iselle since she's described with red-gold hair) since it's a fantasy Spain setting.

Cazaril: Viggo Mortensen, or maybe Daniel Craig
Umegat: Benicio del Toro
