Rose jerked up and gaped at him. "What are you doing here?"

"Not letting you go." Phoenix answered, stepping into her room.
She rolled her eyes slightly. "Are you trying to b dramatic?"
"No. I'm not." Phoenix answered simply.
She looked at him unsurely. "Am I dreaming?"
"Again, no." Phoenix said, leaning against the wall.
"Do you know any other words?" she chuckled.
She rolled her eyes, but smiled. "Well, come here," she sighed.
Phoenix went and sat on the bed beside her.
She took his hand in hers. "Why are you so stubborn?" she asked him softly.
"I'm not the stubborn one, Rose." Phoenix said. "Also, I love you."
Rose chuckled softly at his first words. Well, that was actually true. "I love you too, you know that," she gazed at their intertwined hands, gently stroking her thumb over the back of his hand. "But you need to stay away from here."
Phoenix stopped her thumb. "Why? You keep saying that. Why do I need to stay away?" he asked her softly.
Rose let out a soft sigh and met his gaze. "Because you were right. I am trouble. I only bring trouble. I don't bring happiness, I bring hate and..." she trailed off softly, biting her lip. "I don't want anybody to get hurt because of me. You need to stay away from me," she said softly, looking at their hands.
"No, you don't. No one hates you, Rose. If anyone is hated it's me, by Callum." Phoenix tried to assure her and pulled her into his lap.
"That's not what I meant," she sighed out, shaking her head at him. She gently pushed him away and trailed her fingers through his hair. "Callum will hurt you," she breathed out, grasping his shirt lightly. "I can't let that happen."
Phoenix's eyes narrowed. "Callum can't hurt me. I don't think he'd want to try." he shook his head. "Things wouldn't go well for him if I was dead." Phoenix wrapped his arms around her. Not allowing her to escape.
Rose bit her lip hard, feeling tears bite at her eyes. "But..." she began softly. "I can't let anything happen to you, or the baby. No, I can't take that risk," she breathed out. She felt like she was on the verge of breaking down. "I am trouble," she felt tears slipping from her eyes. "You saying that hurt more than anything, but it's the truth, and I just don't want to affect you."
"Rose, I didn't mean it. And its not true. At home I can protect us all. Here, I can't. What if something were to happen to you? I would never know. I don't want that." Phoenix thumbed away the tears, a small frown on his face.
"But I can't take that risk!" she shook her head wildly at him, more tears leaving her eyes. "I can't risk hurting you, or the baby, or Ari," she breathed out. "Even if that means, that I need to stay here."
Phoenix shook his head also. "No. There is no reason for you to stay. None."
"There is. Here I can't risk anything and nobody will get hurt," she took a deep breath.
"Rose, you're the pregnant one. I can't risk that. You or the baby." Phoenix said.
"But Callum wouldn't hurt me," she shook he rhead.
Phoenix gave her a dubious look. "He wouldn't hurt you? He tried cutting open your side or have you forgotten?"
"No, I haven't forgotten. But he wouldn't hurt the baby," she sighed softly.
Phoenix shook his head. He wasn't going to get her to come back.
She let out a soft sigh. "I just don't know what to do."
"You've made your mind, Rose. You're not coming home." Phoenix said, lifting her off his lap.
"Please don't be mad," she pleaded with him. "I don't want you to hate me," she bit her lip hard.
"I don't hate you. I love you." Phoenix said and kissed her softly.
Rose let out a soft sigh and kissed him back softly.
Phoenix wrapped his arms back around her.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him close, kissing him deeper.
Phoenix pulled back with a sigh. He leaned his forehead against hers.
She sighed softly. "Stay the night," she pleaded in a whisper.
Phoenix hesitated. "I'm not going to be here when you get up." he said softly.
"That's alright," she muttered softly.
Phoenix lied down and pulled her with him.
She rested her head on his chest and pulled the covers over them.
Phoenix ran his fingers through her hair.
"I love you," she said softly before closing her eyes.
"I love you too." he whispered and kissed the side of her head.
She smiled slightly and slowly fell asleep.
Phoenix slowly slipped out from under Rose as the castle began to wake up. He brushed his lips against her cheek.
Rose stirred slightly and mumbked his name softly, curling into hwrself.
Phoenix sighed softly and pulled out his wings. He jumped out the window and flew back home.
