I've always liked reading, but last summer early July, reading City of Bones jumpstarted my absolute love and devouring of books.

I've always liked books but I actually came into the YA books world after reading Divergent about two years ago
I actually used to Hate Reading. When I saw a kid reading a Harry Potter book I used to say "ewwwww how can u read that?" Then one day my little sister, who's not even a reader came home with a book she was reading in her sixth grade year called "Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief" she was raving about how good it was, and wouldn't stop asking me too read it. So I picked it up and turned to the first page and liked it just like that. Percy was telling me that if I thought I might be a halfblood, to put this book down right now. Intrigued I couldn't put it down, and then when I was done I went to the library down the street and from there on out I became this THING this person who started off with Percy Jackson and couldn't stop looking for more. The first real books I ever read were of course The Percy Jackson series, and then Shiver which till this day is my all time Favorite. I went from normal everyday none reader, to this intelectual person who wanted to challenge myself. The next year I changed all my classes to Honor classes, and graduated with Honors, all because of Percy Jackson.
Wow congrats!! That is so cool that Percy Jackson affected you. Happy Birthday Percy Jackson, btw...

I started reading when I was in 7th grade. I barely knew how to speak English at that time but now, I can read almost all kinds of books out there! It's amazing what reading can do to a person. ^^
Wow that's so cool! You can read a book in a second language? I could probably really struggle through a French book. I don't think I could read a book in Mandarin. Wow that's really impressive!
The moment I learned to read "Timmy Went Camping" (which was composed of like 15 words) when I was 4
My mum and dad always read to me when I was little and then when I learned to read when I was 5 I was so excited and I learned so fast and then we had take hom readers for school and I was in the advanced readers and they all had boring books about non fiction and I was so bored so I started reading Narnia and The Wishing Chair and all them books and I HAVE NEVER STOPPED READING!!!!!I LOVE FANTASY AND PARANORMAL AND ROMANCE and EVERYTHING!!!! (except horror)
My mom read American Girl books to me when I was 4-ish, then I started reading books like Dick & Jane. In kindergarten, my teacher started me on reading American Girl books by myself, which I could easily do. From 5-6 on, I became a total bookworm.
I don't remember actually... I always loved reading since i was really young... I remember reading judy moody, beacon street girls and this kind of books when i was like 7 years old. I never stoped since then, and when i grew up i started to read in english and now i don't read books in portuguese anymore ( i'm brazilian ) because i like to read the way the author wrote, not the translation, it might sound kind of crazy hahaha, but i just love to read in english
Honestly I hated reading when I was younger since math was always my thing. Though the books that sparked my love for reading was the House of Night Series. One day when I was at the library I saw the cover of Betrayed and picked it up since I like vampires. And that is how my love for books began.
Since birth :P Jk, I actually as soon as I could start reading at 4, I read as much as possible <3ALWAYS loved reading!
When I was in elementary school, I would get short story books, but even then I wasn't that much of a reader. Then 5th grade came and I got a book from The Royal Diaries series and I fell in love. I read and read and read. Reading got so addicting. Now, wherever I go, if yous won't see me without a book.
When I was in 5th grade (10 yrs old) but I only used to read Roald Dahl books but when in 7th grade I started Harry Potter, I became a proper bookaholic! :D
When I was younger, I started reading the Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley. Then, when I was older, I started reading the Babysitters Club and the Babysitter's Little Sister. I remember bringing a bunch of them to school and stuffing them in my locker and then a friend and I would spend recess reading them!
I've always loved to read, but I really started to get into reading books of different genres (besides Nancy Drew mysteries) when I was around 14 years old.
I went into B&N today and I found a copy of United We Spy!!! I just had to buy it and I can't believe it is out early!
I started really enjoying reading in 9th grade after reading Harry Potter and Poison Study. Those are the books that really got me to love reading and have really changed my life.
I got into reading after Harry Potter!!!!!
I started loving reading when I was 4 and read a magic tree house book. Total bookworm ever since
I read the magic tree house books!! But it was in 3rd grade when I read Harry Potter that I became a major bookworm.
I'm like the only person ever who hasn't read HP!
I'm quite on and off when it comes to reading. there are times when i read everyday, then i''ll take a break for like 2 weeks and then start up again. i think a really started to read non-stop when i was in grade 9
After I saw the first Narnia movie when I was 10, I bought the books and I loved them. But I think what really started it was when I watched that old movie Neverending Story. I just liked how the little boy, Sebastian, looked reading the book, and I wanted to look like that too.
Ever since Twilight the movie came out on DVD. I watched it and then my mum said I couldn't watch the rest until I had read the books. Before that I hated reading then I read twilight and I haven't stopped reading since.
I don't know. I was one as long as I can remember. My mom tells me of times I woke her up in the middle of the night as a toddler to force her to read books for me. Awwww, what an adorable kid. *bricked*

Nancy Drew was the first real books I ever read! I was obsessed! ^_^ My very first one was "The Clue in the Antique Trunk" (I think that's the name) and I was HOOKED after that! =)

Nancy Drew was one of my firsts too!!! I've got a book with three of her stories in it: The Hidden Staircase, The Ghost of Blackwood Hall, and The Thirteenth Pearl.
I hated reading. Seriously...until I was forced to read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in Grade 5 for my class. I loved reading from then on, but my reading really spiraled when I was in Grade 8!
I've always loved books, but I became really obsessed with books after Harry potter. Even then, I wasn't as big a book nerd as I am now.
I've always loved books, but I became totally obsessed with books after I found a friend who loved them as much as me. We could talk about some books for hours!
