Woman forced to marry a highlander, tries to escape from him many times different ways. One that sticks to my mind most was her trying to escape out her bedroom window. She got scared and couldn't move, sitting out there crying and he had to go out the window to help her get back in castle safely.

Possibly Gaelen Foley's . he's not a highlander though but there is definitely a scene similar to what you described.
