Jasper nodded slightly "I guess you can say that. Are you?"
Stefan looked out over the grass and trees. "No I've been here for about three years now. I found it at a rough time in my life and fell in love with it."
Jasper smiled faintly and looked down at his lap "It seems very peaceful out here."
The far away look in his dark blue eyes was beautiful. "It is. That gets a bit tedious at times but compared to other places I wouldn't trade it."
Jasper nodded slightly and looked over at Stefan. He looked so much better that the picture. Jasper couldn't do this. He looked so happy. He didn't look like the others at all. He looked down at himself again "I think it's perfect."
There was something sad in the boy's voice. Something that sounded familiar like regret. He was too young for the kind of regret that made his voice sound like that thought wasn't he? "Listen, let me show you around. I can pick you up and take you around, show you the sights. It would be nice to see it through new eyes."
Jasper looked back at him and smiled faintly. He fought back the stinging of the tears he felt but nodded "Sounds great. Except I don't have a home yet."
