The time has come to select our October Group Read theme. Please feel free to make a suggestion (one per member). You may include a quick definition if you want in order to clarify your selection.

The theme should be related to the overall group purpose: action and adventure in some shape or form.

The poll will go up on August 24th.

**We're not looking for actual book choices right now, just a general theme.***

Theme Suggestions:

*Memorable Sidekicks
*Talking Animals
*Best Prequel Books (book that was written after the start of a series but chronologically takes place before the start of the series)
*Action Horror
*Urban Fantasy Action

I'm going to suggest Memorable Sidekicks. There are so many books out there, where the main character is enjoyable; but the extremely memorable sidekick will really make the story successful for me!

Henry (henoir99) | 20 comments I love the memorable sidekick idea (my two favourite A/A characters would definitely be described as memorable and sidekicks. I would also like to suggest best prequel book for an A/A series

Henry (henoir99) | 20 comments by prequel I mean a book that was written after the start of a series but chronologically takes place before the start of the series.

Since October is scary month (at least for some of us), I added Action Horror as my nomination pick.

message 11: by Rizwan (new)

Rizwan Khalil Since I don't have anything better, I'll nominate Urban-Action-Fantasy again (after last month), mostly because I'm having so much fun reading Storm Front right now!

Me, too. It would also fit the sidekick theme.

Creature Feature? (an action book with something monsterous?)

message 15: by David (new)

David Pileggi (ddavidpileggi25) Spooky books :) I agree with the idea of a scary book in October

Is there a particular distinction between action horror, creature feature, and spooky books? I think if they more or less fit in with action horror, why not just use that as a broad theme (that includes your suggestions), instead of splitting votes?

message 17: by David (new)

David Pileggi (ddavidpileggi25) Yeah, just make then under the same thing. Works for me :)
