Mei (meijey) | 3810 comments "The dark secret Kayden has kept hidden for years is out. Worse, he's facing charges for battery. The only way he stands a chance against the charges is if Callie speaks up, something he'll never ask her to do.

Callie knows Kayden is going back to his dark place and desperately wants to save him. But saving him means admitting her secrets aloud. Callie and Kayden are stronger than they think, especially when they're together. Together they move forward, face their demons, and finally start to heal from their traumatic pasts.

Samia and I are reading this. It's the sequel to The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden (The Coincidence, #1) by Jessica Sorensen . Everyone is free to join in :D

Mei (meijey) | 3810 comments Just started.

I have a bad feeling I wouldn't enjoy this much because I seek for normalness in the story. It's too dark. I know it's supposed to be like that...but, I think I just don't want it to be overly dramatic and sad.

Clary | 26 comments Well, it is a pretty dramtic story and it seems like each and every character in those books has suffered in their past... But there are lighter scenes as well and the love story itself is cute!
I think I enjoyed it even more than the first one; so don't give up on it just yet ;)

Samia Ruponti (snoebell92) | 451 comments yes, very dramatic and very dark. I think I'm not liking Kayden as much as I would have liked to......but I have hope yet!! ;)

Mei (meijey) | 3810 comments I can't imagine having parents like Callie's and Kayden's. How can they be so blind and oblivious? I would run away on impulse if they keep telling me to care about the family's reputation first and deal the problem through cash and constantly tell me to side with the guy who did such heartless act to me. Also, am I the only one who seeks for Callie's father's participation to the story? I don't remember him much present in book one, but I would prefer a reaction from him...

And I wonder when will Callie tell the truth. Also, I notice that Callie's POVs are longer than Kayden's. I anticipate Kayden's more but when I read his POV, it's full of dark thoughts, and his plan to stay away from Callie because she deserves better, but we know Callie meeds him as much as he needs someone to listen or understand.

Mei (meijey) | 3810 comments Just finished this one yesterday. I didn't like how the ending was told, although it was a happy ending. Just wasn't satisfied because it was too rushed, and abrupt and I felt like it's really lacking some back story. Was surprised to know there is a third book currently in progress and even more surprised it was about LUKE AND VIOLET! Still don't know if I'll be reading that.

Tati I've started it last night, what an awful beginning (not in terms of writing, but (view spoiler)

I'll be a bit slow one on that one, as I can only read it on my iPad.

Irena BookDustMagic | 1344 comments that's okay. i'm a slow reader and plus I have another buddy read so I think I'll be slow too.

Tati I've finished, faster than I thought I would.

That book can be depressing at times, and that ending, particularly the final 2 pages was a bit weird.

Irena BookDustMagic | 1344 comments i'm only 37% done. i'll probably finish it tomorow.
