I've removed the 'primary work' marker for both books. If they are never going to exist then they cannot be primary works. Removing them from the series is probably pointless since someone will add them back. The same thing probably applies to the book records themselves. If they get deleted then they WILL be added back. The best thing might be to keep the records, mark them clearly (as has been done), and just ignore them.
Ok thanks! I wasn't going to remove them from the series but I made that note in the series edit so once deleted people would maybe so my note before recreating the books.But I didn't realise they couldn't be deleted.

They CAN be deleted, I just think it would be pointless. The first fan of the series who hasn't read the author's website or the notes on Goodreads is going to add the books back. All I've done is remove the 'primary work' markers.
