Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments I've never done this before, so be gentle with me :-)

I've taken to browsing the Free Kindle books list and downloading anything that takes my fancy. This has led to a fairly eclectic approach to my reading over the past months. This is how I came across this book, which is just a cracking read. It's science fiction, thriller and chick-lit (hate that term) combined and it will keep you engrossed to the end. I can definitely see this making a really good film. Take a look and see what you think:

Philip Whiteland | 3396 comments I should have asked, has anyone else read this and, if so, what did you think?

I would dig it out if I were you, Patti. I think you might enjoy it.

I shook out my cloak and brushed myself off. I traveled for perhaps half an hour then, leaving the place far behind me, before I halted and took my breakfast in a hot, bleak valley smelling faintly of sulfur. As I was finishing, I heard a crashing noise. A horned and tusked purple thing went racing along the ridge to my right pursued by a hairless orange-skinned creature with long claws and a forked tail. Both were wailing in different keys.

I nodded. It was just one damned thing after another.
