I am with you on this one! I am also (view spoiler)[afraid that Trent will hurt Beth. I must say I just have no tolerance for her mother either. She is allowing her daughter to be abused (and herself) by Trent. I can't stand a weak mother, even more than a weak father. (hide spoiler)]

That's a terrible burden, and BOTH his parents should be so proud of his paper being a in the final round. Why hasn't his mother pushed for that? Why wouldn't his dad ask him what HE wants? Mark (view spoiler)[How can a parent treat a child the way they are both treating Mark? Their father is simply embarrassed, but for God's sake, that's his SON! And for the mother to allow her husband to disown Mark is WEAK as well. For some reason I hold mothers more responsible because they are usually the backbone of the house and if they are weak, way too much damage gets done. (hide spoiler)]

Ryan and Beth: (view spoiler)[I am so glad they kissed and she obviously has the hots for him big time. It looks like they have really sexual chemistry, too. She just needs to learn to trust him and let loose. She deserves a good guy, and I think Ryan is just that. I loved the barn scene but I was afraid her uncle Scott was going to catch them. OMG I feel SO freaking bad that (view spoiler)[Beth literally has NO self-esteem! I felt so much pain for her when she was SO stoked that she finally did one thing write: saved a dummy's life. I can't imagine feeling that you've never done a thing right in your life. Today I was reading at school (while taking a potty break lol) and I read the part where she found went to get her mom and the car had been impounded. She felt like she was totally the one responsible for taking care of her mom. I can't imagine! How is a young girl supposed to get a car out of impound? Then her mom wants to make sure that she gets Trent out of jail, too. OMG! I can hardly handle this! (hide spoiler)]

He bottled up "their rain" so she could always look at it and know he'd never leave her. That was so touching. I thought it was funny and ironic that Chris took Ryan forced-shopping basically for condoms and Chris and Lacy have never had sex. But good for Lacy! (hide spoiler)]

I'm really liking it too! I love Ryan! He is such a good guy! And Beth! OMG! She is killing me with hating on herself! I'm so sad for her! Ryan's parents are seriously pissing me off!

I haven't been feeling good today so I'll prob go to bed early tonight and finish tomorrow. :)

I finished this evening and I loved it! This story was so hard to read in parts, and it was very realistic! I must say that (view spoiler)[ that I am glad it ended on a mostly positive note. Unfortunately her mother's sentence is how so many addicts end up. I was hoping that her mother would come through for her in the end, but I don't feel that she really did. It would have been the fairy tale ending for her mother to actually step up to the plate and take care of Beth. Heroin addicts recover at a rate of less than 1% so poor Beth never stood a chance with her mother. I wish they'd have thrown the key away on Trent! (hide spoiler)]

I would love to! If only my library could get it in time is my problem. YA books aren't priority at my library. I should say some of them aren't and some of them if they don't get them out on the release date then it's not too far off. So I'll just have to see. :)
