Jack paced the small room that he was waiting in for his mother. True to his word Grant had taken them to Jack's mother base which was hours away from the safe house they were originally at. Grant was leaning against the wall trying not to yell at Jack for his pacing which was driving him up the walls.
Victoria was sitting down, leaning back against the wall. She was nervous to meet Jack's mother. Her hands were starting to smoke a bit in her nervousness and she took a deep breath to calm down and stop them. "When will she be here?"
As soon as she ask the question the door to the room open and in step Jack's mother. She looked a lot like Jack but in a girly way. Jack suddenly stop pacing and slowly looked at her. He felt the urge to go up and hug her but he held back. "Mother." Was all he said.
Victoria quickly stood from her seat on the floor as Jack's mother entered the rom. She bit her lip, nervous at meeting her. As Jack hugged her she stepped forward to introduce herself once Jack was done.
His mother regard them all with a cool distance look. "Jack." She greeted him. "And you must be Victoria." She said turning to look at Victoria
Victoria gave a nod, "Yes ma'am." She said nervously. This was the woman leading a war. His mother could help with her powers but Victoria wasn't sure if she wanted to pay the price.
Jack watched his mother carefully making sure she didn't say something hurtful against Victoria. "Wow you are powerful." She said softly to herself. Grant who stood behind Victoria whispers to her. "She can see your powers..."
Victoria threw a glance back at Grant, swallowing nervously. "Thank you ma'am." She said as she turned back to his mother. "I haven't had them long. Maybe a month?" She was nervous and her hands were smoking a bit again. Biting her lip she tried to make it stop.
Jack's mother fearless pick up her hands and all of a sudden the smoking stop. "She blocks out other people's powers also. That is her gift reading and blocking." Grant said looking a bit tense by this whole thing
"Thanks." Victoria said, giving a small, timid smile. "I'm still trying to get used to using them. I don't have much control yet."
"Don't worry about that you will learn quickly." His mother offer her a smile and Jake was taken back.... Something was up his mother was never this nice
Victoria was relaxing. Jack's mother was a lot nicer than she'd been led to expect. "I hope s."
Jack study his mother searching for an answer he knew he probably couldn't find. "Here let me show you around." His mother who name was Amy put her arm around her and leading her out the door.
Victoria shot a glance back at Jack, hoping that he'd follow as Amy led her out. "T-Thank you ma'am." She was still slightly nervous about it all. ((Ironically in another rp I have an evil character named Amy, She's nly 10 and is kinda creepy XD))
((Any young child who is evil is creepy but Amy sounds like such a nice name which makes it even creepier.))Jack hated that he didn't want to follow them out, he just want to sit in this room and forget about the world but he took a deep breath and follow them out into the base.
Victoria wasn't sure what to expect. She was nervous, but hoping someone would finally teach her how to use and control her powers.
Amy smiled sweetly at Victoria. "We aren't much just some hallways and white walls but in each of these rooms." Amy wiggles her eyebrows. "That is where the magic happens."
"Ma'am." Victoria began, seeing it as a good idea to mention now. "Jack was telling me about the war. I really don't want to fight. Don't want to get involved in it...."
Amy nodded already guessing that what Victoria would say. "I will remember that." Was all she said to that. Jack mumble something under his breath at that but everyone seem to forgot that he was here.
Victoria looked back at her friend again. She still noticed him. But he was the only person here that she really knew. She was glad that he was here.
Jack caught her look and tried to give her a smile hoping that it worked. He didn't feel like smiling right now. Amy when on pointing out room after room, explaining that this base was ran kind of like the military.
Victoria was trying to take in as much of the information as she could it wasn't easy. And the fact that she didn't want to fight didn't make it any easier. amy wasn'y going to try and make her right?
Amy stopped at the mess hall. "Lunch should be ready." She said leading the way into the mess hall. There weren't many people eating but it was enough to make a newcomer feel like they should out. Jack felt like an arrow was pointing at his head screaming he was Amy son and his brother was trying to kill them all
Victoria gave a nod, glancing back at Jack. "You hungry?" She asked him quietly, a bit uncomfortable, but hoping this place could help.
Jack shrugged. "A little I guess." He answers back looking down at her. "Are you?" He ask with a raise eyebrow. "Or too nervous to eat?"
"I'm hungry, but don't know if I could eat now." She was still nervous, her hands smoking again though luckily no fire.
"Eat a little for me?" He ask her with a worry look.
