They started to walk towards the building, Jack kept a eye open for anything around him that could help them

There wasn't much around as they led them into the house of their leader. Victoria's hands were smoking a bit with her nerves so on edge.
He glance at her hands and bites his lip, worry blooming through his veins.
"Sorry."She muttered to him, clenching her fists and trying to make it stop. " I can't help it..."
"Your powers are just coming to help." He said but he was stl worried. They got to the building and were rush inside
Well considering they were surrounded by the enemy right now she wouldn't exactly call it helpful. She didn't know how to control it.... Why did she have these stupid powers? Why couldn't she just go home? Live a normal life?
Right now he was thinking the same thing, what could he do with his powers. Nothing? He was supposed to keep her safe and look how the turn out. He was worthless it seem
((how long should they be there before they escape? A few days? Weeks?))

((They lock be stuck in a room and no one has talk to them. Then someone came and to talk to them?))
Victoria was sitting in the corner her head against the wall. there were no windows in this room. She wasn't even sure how long they'd been here. People had come in a few times to bring food but that was it. They hadn't even said anything when they'd come in. "What are we going to do Jack..." she muttered
Jack was on the other side of the room, staring at the wall like it could give him all the answers. For the first couple days he had tried to calm the mood with jokes but by the third day he gave up. He hasn't said a word since too busy trying to come up with a good plan
She'd tried to laugh at his jokes but it was obvious that it had been forced, that she was worried. Scared about what was happening. And why were they just keeping them here? What had this guy even wanted in the first place? Everynow ant then her hands would start smoking again and she'd try to stop them, sometimes more successful than others.
Jack let go of his lip which he had been biting. A cooper taste filled his mouth. He cursed silently and rub his lip which was bleeding. Jack hasn't use his power since they got here. He ache to use them. He cocked his head to the side hearing foot steps
Victoria had been starting to doze off when she heard the footsteps, straightening up a bit. She wasn't really expecting anything different. Just someone else coming with some food for them. When were they going to find out what these people wanted....She knew that it was someone else, not Jack's brother in charge. She'd heard enough back when they'd been at his house to know that much at least.
Instead of the little dog door that brought the food opening the whole door opened. "Ah so there they are." Said a soft voice. Jack glance up, he knew that voice. He blinked at the woman in the doorway staring at them like she found gold.
Victoria had never seen this woman before in her life, but from Jack's expression he knew her. "Who are you?" She asked. "What do you want with us...." She was scooting a bit closer to Jack as she spoke. Once again her hands were starting to smoke. She was nervous. Couldn't help it.....
Jack glance at Victoria before turning back to the woman. "I am a friend." the woman said. Her voice was full of fake sweetness. "Do not listen to her Victoria, her power it controlling people." The woman could tell you to do something and you would be compelled to do it.
Victoria was frowning a bit. She heard Jack's words but.....she shook her head, trying to clear it. This woman, whoever she was, was obviously having an effect on Victoria.
"Stop it, Lia." Jack snapped standing up. Lia just laughed. "Ah Jack always no fun." Lia looked at Victoria using her powers again. "Wont you please follow me?"
Victoria hesitated for a moment, but Lia's powers were working. After a second she stood, going to follow. She threw a glance back at Jack as she went.
Lia waited instill Victoria was behind her before glancing back at Jack. "Well are you coming?" She ask with a bored voice. Jack slowly walked to the door. Lia clapped her hands. "Followed me and Victoria please do keep up and do not talk to Jack. He will just fill your head with pointless things." She said as she winked at Jack

Lia brought the two into a room. The room was long with a metal table and three chairs. Lia turned around and left the room leaving Jack wondering what as happening.
Once she was gone her power over Victoria broke. "Jack...."she muttered quietly as she looked at him. "What are we going to do.....why are we here..."
"I don't know Victoria." He replies in a mumble.
She took a breath. "How were you able to resist what she was saying? I realized it in the back of my mind but couldn't do anything."
"I have a blocked in my mind put there by a girl name Amanda years ago." He answers still mumbling
She had been hoping it was something he'd learned to do. that he could help her with it but no such luck. Looked like she was stuck...if she couldn't resist who knew what else they;d ask her to do.
"Do not worry if they try to get to do anything that isn't right I will stop you." He said softly under his breath knowing that his words weren't a promise but they were something at least.
She nodded. "Thanks Jack." She said, glad for whatever he could do. "Can you try to teach me how to resist her though? What if they try to make me do something and you aren't around?"
"I can try. What Amanda told me that the block is only half of it. When someone is trying to get into your mind you got to push them out. The best way of that is to use a strong emotion. Hate, love, hope.... You get the idea. Think of a moment with strong emotion and they will lose their grip on your mind."
Victoria gave a nod. That she could do. She'd gained plenty of those experiences even over the last few days. "Got it..." She muttered as she glanced at the door once more, not sure what to expect. How long had they even been trapped in that room for. She was getting more nervous by the minute, her hands starting to smoke a little bit again.
Jack when back to his silence staring at the wall. What seem like forever but in turn was only a hour the door open. Jack's brother step through the door. "Victoria, Jack." He said with a nod
She straightened up in her chair when he came in, eyes narrowing slightly. "What do you want..." She asked, "Why are we here? Why did you kidnap us?"
Derek held up his hands. "I was following orders." He anwers. "Some very powerful people wanted to meet the both of you."
"Who?" She asked, definitely liking him less and less every time she saw him. Fire was curling up from her hands a bit again. She hadn't had it for long and was having trouble controlling it, especially when nervous. like now.
"A secret branch of the government. They find humans like us and then help us train to use our powers for the better good." He explains. Jack's lip curl up in disgust but he didn't say a word
"And I should believe you why?" She spat. " You wouldn't have kidnapped us then. Jack would trust you more. You're lying!"
"My relationship with my brother has been broken long before he even met you." He snapped at her showing regret on his face before composing himself. "And I am telling the truth, I have done my job and I have no reason to lie to you anymore."
She glared at him, still not believing him. She glared for a minute before looking away, taking a breath as she tried to compose herself, control her powers. And while she made the fire calm down some her hands were still smoking, small flames licking up every now and then.
Jack spoke up after a moment. "Are they the same government's branch that....." He looked at his brother and his brother nodded. Jack stood up and ran a hand through his hair. He started to pace but soon h whirled on his brother. "How could you work for them!" His voice was raising by the minute. "They do not want peace they use people like us to control other countries. They use us to stop wars by killing. They killed our mother! And you still join them?! Now you drag me and my best friend to them!! Why couldn't you leave us alone!" Jack's face was flushed and he was breathing heavy by the time he was done. Items floats around him also, a pen when zooming by his head. But he didn't care he just glared at his brother. Derek looked back Jack and to Victoria. "See relationship been broken."
Victoria let out a breath. All the items flying around would have freaked her out a week ago but now...not so much. "And if we don't cooperate with them? What happens then?" She asked as she came to stand closer to Jack, outing a hand on his shoulder to offer what support she could. "I'm not going to kill for anyone. I'm not a murderer." Her eyes narrowed a bit. She didn't like Derek. Didn't trust him and never would. "I'm guessing that's something you don't have a problem with though...
Derek faced darken at that but he didn't say a word to it. "They want to met with you and that all I can tell you. If you do not come willing well we can always changed that. Be ready in a hour." He turn on his heels and left. Jack looked at Victoria not saying a word but a silent thank you was in his eyes.
((So they escape before they get there according to our earlier plan right?))
"we need to get out of here..." She muttered to him, giving him a quick hug. He was her best friend, and really the only person she could count on right now. "I don't want to meet them. I just want to get out of here and never look back."
