"Why would they come after you?" she asked confused. "If I lose control won't they come after me?"
"Because I been on their radar for a while." Derek grins wickly. James and Derek may look alike but they had two different personalities. "That beause you are trouble." James coughs under his breath
((Thought it was Jack?))She frowned, starting to wonder if this was a good idea but they were here now. " Well can you help or not?"
((Oh it was!! Oops forgetting my own characters name oh nice))Jack sighs. "He can help, he just being a jerk like normal." Something flash through Derek's eyes it look like regret for a couple of seconds. "Yes I will help."
((haha, I've done it. Once I even posted two names for one character in the same post...))Victoria thought she saw something flash through his eyes but shook it off, pretty sure she was seeing things. "Thank you....so what do I need to learn first? Jack was already telling me some, trying to help get a little more control, try to shape it which I still can't really do...but considering I got them earlier today...."
((That would cause a little confusion))Derek sat down slowly and looks from his brother to Victoria. "How strong are her powers?" He ask his brotther
((People I were rping with were like 'huh?'))Victoria bit her lip, staying silent but glancing over at Jack. She wasn't sure how strong she was and was going to let Jack answer these...
((Which name do I pick!!! That what a drama queen would say))Jack sighs. "Well either two things she suppress her powers which mean they are powerful or her powers are weak. Mostly from what I seen she suppress them."
((It was a group rp and yeah....two names in one post was confusing....))She frowned a bit. "What do you mean?" She asked speaking up. "You think I've always had this power?"
((and gtg to work in like 30 min. Will be on for a bit on my break. Hope your on at 8:30ish! when I get home))
Jack nods. "Yes, it was just too powerful for you to control when you were younger."
"But why is it just showing up now?"
"Because you reach an age where you can possibly control it." He answers
"So you;ve always been able to control yours so you've always had it and mine is showing up now because now I can control it?"
He nods. "That the theory,my family is a long line of mind powers. So it was easy for us to control them."
"What makes you think I'm really powerful and not just weak? That it took this long to show up?"
"That could be the case but mostly likely it not." He said
"So anyway...what's next? How do I do this?"
Derek looked at Jack. "You were always a bad teacher. " Jack shot him a look but sighs. "Well to test your power levels there are tests."
Victoria frowned a bit at Derek's remark. Jack waS her best friend....she shot a look between them before finally asking. "Tests?"
"Yes, there a group of people like us, people who has powers who will run the test."
"When do the tests start?" She asked, shifting a bit nervously in her seat.
"Well You will have to meet the group....." Derek says as Jack said. "Derek the leader of the group.":
Victoria glanced between the two of them. "Um......when can I meet them then? The sooner I learn all this."
"What do I do until then?" She asked, biting her lip, her hands clasped together, she didn't want to accidently use her powers.
Derek looked like he wanted to just walked away but he huffed out. "I could help you control your powers a little."
"Thank you." She said, letting out a breath. "What do I need to do?"
"Well,first of all what is your power?" He ask
"Creating and controlling fire." She answered, still feeling a bit weird about it
Derek nods as he thought. "Most of the time when someone can create fire they are powerful"
"Really?" She said, then glanced at Jack, maybe she was powerful then... "So what do I have to do?"((Derek should betray them later on in the RP...idk why but I see him going dark side....))
((He seems like a bad man..... Good idea.))Jack glanced at his brother, uneasy shown on his face. Clearly he didnt want Jessica doing this but what could he do? Derek paced a little. "Well, can you show me what Jack had you doing?"
((Yay!))She nodded, glancing at Jack for a split second before turning to Derek again. "He was getting me to try to form the fire into shapes. I wasn't having much luck but I'll try..." she said, again making the fire appear with a bit of concentration, trying to form a dog.
The form of a dog appeared as Derek watched her. He nods slowly lost in thought
Victoria grinned. That was better than she'd been able to do at Jack's house. She glanced in his direction to see what he thought.
Jack was looking at the wall, he was lost in his thoughts.
"Jack?" She asked, frowning. "Are you alright?" He seemed so....distracted. She couldn't help but to worry a bit.
Jack slowly drew his eyes away from the wall to look at her, and then shook his head a little. "Yea sure, I fine."
"What's wrong?" She asked. " You don't seem like yourself "
"I was just thinking, you know how I think." He gave her a grin
"Yeah..I guess." She said, still not 100% convinced. "What were you thinking about anyway?"
Jack eyes flashed over to his brother before shruging. "The test you going have to take." He lied
"Do you know how hard it is?" she asked him, wanting to know as much as she could.
"Never took it...." He said before explaining. "Everyone knew us and our family so we didnt have to."
She let out a sigh. "Well thanks anyway Jack. For everything. You're an awesome friend and I don't know what I'd do without you."
Jack looked at her with a raise eyebrow
"What?" She asked "It's the truth. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be here. Wouldn't know who to tell or what to do about this."
"But I lie to you half my life...." He pointed out
"Well yeah...but I can't blame you for that. I mean....if you hadn't been there to see mine I don't know if I would have been brave enough to tell you."
